The Queens gig was billed as "Queens of The Stone Age and Friends".

So they were, thinking about all the banner advertising I saw sprayed everywhere when I went to it.

This may be of interest tbf. Early KoL, Franz and Circa Waves are acts I've enjoyed live.

@eFestivals do you know what sort of bands are planned for the weekend? Plan to buy tickets for kings of Leon but would consider full weekend?

This is a one-day event. It's from the same people that organise Fusion Festival but its separate.

The event is mostly a pop festival sponsored by Capital FM. Previous acts have included Little Mix, David Guetta, Shaun Mendes, Take That. That's prob why this kings of leon event is separate to the festival.

Do you know who this is backed by? Obviously Capital FM is Global so in a roundabout way it's linked to Global festivals.

Does seem interesting to see Kings of Leon do what's essentially a medium-sized festival with no apparent international influence. Makes you think where they could end up next time they're here.

Its a fairly big media company. I don't think they shy to splash the cash. One of the guys that runs it also runs a big talent management company for footballers, media and music. They manage and book other events too.

I think the capacity has been increased. Still no word on price.

 

This is 2 minutes walk from mine so will just sit outside with a few cans if it's a stupid price. Previous walled events here you can see the screens and hear fine just outside.

Fusion is usually at otterspool by the river and is capital fm type fodder little mix seen Mendes etc . They are moving it to sefton park this year because capacity can be bigger. This is a separate one day event something like fusion presents . Surprised as anfield now holding concerts . Plus limf will still take place in sefton park in July

All booked, I know they get a lot of stick on these forums but kings of Leon with that support for 60quid is pretty good
