RarerThanDandyB
The Struts? Made it in America, getting bigger within England. Maybe within the future...
TheWaters
Not a fan of Lewis Capaldi’s music but I hope he headlines one day purely for the fact he’s fucking hilarious.
Chaarlie
Gretta Van Fleet? Not sure how far the baby Led Zepp thing can take them. I think Gang of Youths have a lot of potential but too early to call. Architects an outside bet? Think the festival is moving more towards the Rap headliners and away from rock, especially the heavier stuff. Would like to see Billie Eilish or Grimes too and they seem to have the backing from big bands as well as growing fan bases.
dum surfer
Yeah I'm pretty much in agreement with the Billie Eilish shouts, if she keeps on the momentum and her album does bits i can see her co-headlining R&L at the very least within the next couple of years

I think we could see Greta Van Fleet sub headline Download 2020 at this rate. I wouldn’t be surprised if they reached headline status there but I can’t see them crossing over to that size at R&L. Architects will headline Download too, I think but not R&L.
Chaarlie
Heard mixed opinions on Foals coming back to headline, do you think they will after stepping down to Citadel/Truck and others at that level? Albums out tomorrow only review I've seen so far is 5/5 from NME.
MJMilz14
LostProphets Arctic Monkeys Bloc Party The Enemy (Unlikely, but possible if there next album goes down well) Klaxons (same as the enemy) Biffy Clyro Kasabian The Libertines (if they ever get back together) My guesses from the February 2009 thread. 4/8 not too shabby and I do think LostProphets would have by now if Watkins wasn't a filthy nonce. Bit off guessing the enemy mind ?
frontsidecab
Wolf Alice have a slight shot at getting there eventually, probably more so as a co-head and I'd put Broco in that same bracket, slim-chance but possible. Agree with the Billie Eilish shouts, maybe Vampire Weekend and Tame Impala, Travis Scott too. Surely Florence and The Machine by 2030? As for someone blowing up out of nowhere, I'm going to have a stab at Denzel Curry. It was only in 2016 that Travis Scott was (supposed to be) headlining the 1xtra bare in mind. Oh and I'd absolutely love to see Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes climbing to those heights down the line. If they keep up the live performances they'll continue to rack up more and more devoted fans, so I wouldn't say it's impossible. Andre91
Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes. I think if he was alive, Lil Peep would have had a shot.

C14S
I agree with the frank carter and denzel shouts, think broco could be headlining outright but dont see wolf alice getting there tbh
JustWanted2Be1OfTheStrokes
Would love to see Idles or Shame headline in the future. Both really promising bands currently. Foals will definitely be back.

Tom Connolly
Wolf Alice are almost nailed on due to them needing female headliners plus their music is sick

Hardly nailed on. I genuinely think the only acts mentioned that will do it are Foals and Royal Blood. EDIT- actually, I didn’t spot those Tame Impala and Travis Scott shouts. Not sure about foals anymore headlining btech festivals like boardmasters (still love it though)
