National Express seem to have shot up in price

I  cant remember paying £63 return from London before. And theyve stopped the NHS discount code. Im not sure what to do really as they are so convienient.

I don't know any sites in particular, but aren't there car share sites still running in the UK. Not sure. If there are, then maybe you could do it that way. It would be 'green', and you'd possibly make new friends. Just a thought.

Think I paid about 75 for tickets from Canterbury. Seemed alright to me, given the convenience. Could probably have done it cheaper by train, but a lot more messing about, queuing etc. This seems the easiest way, and that’s what you’re paying for, I guess.

It is weird though as in any normal circumstances you'd pay way more for the train anywhere, mainly cos it's quicker I guess. But I can't be doing with all the faff at Castle Cary so will definitely be doing the coach. Need to get on this actually.

From Northampton I paid £57.60 for 2017 and £61.00 for 2019. These were booked as soon as I had my ticket confirmation, this year's fare has already gone up to £64.00.

For the convenience and the fact that the car park is now £45.00 this seems a pretty good deal to me.

We got ours right after ticket day for about £50 with the 25% group discount, so £63 sounds about right without it.

I booked a London return one month before the festival in 2017 for £51. Just checked this year's and if anything it is cheaper now than then. The earlier you travel the better the deal though obviously this isn't possible for everyone.

They had the 25% off thing for groups of 4 after the ticket sale but it seems to have gone now. I bought 4 returns from London a couple of weeks ago which worked out at £75 each. Prices differ a little depending on what time you travel

Two tickets from and to Bristol cost me 65 quid last October. I paid 63 quid for two tickets in january 2017, so no significant increase.

Looking at National express coming down from Manchester, looks like it'll be about £200 for the 2 of us, works out £50 each way, per person, not the cheapest but can still imagine it being cheaper and a bit easier than trying to get the train down

Thought 'that can't be right', but just checked Leeds and it's £92 return. That's £20 more my See coach, and I'm sure National Express used to be the slightly cheaper of the two.

Maybe they were cheaper around t-day.

Their prices do seem to fluctuate a fair bit.

Yeah I'm not sure whether to bite the bullet and get them now or if there is potential for them to come down again.... shame you can't set up like a Skyscanner alert on them.

I would imagine that, like train prices, they'll sell the cheapest seats first and they'll just keep increasing in price until they sell out.

Ye this one way thing is nonsense. A Glasgow return is £140 (fine) but as I don't fancy sleeping over night on the bus going down and turning up to Glastonbury wrecked at 8.30am, was looking at a single on the way back and that's still £140. 

Great.

But I really hate dealing with Castle Cary on the Monday morning!

Maybe sleeping on the way down isn't so bad....but it really depends what sort of bus turns up. The bus we got from Sheffield to Glastonbury in 2017 was an absolute dream and less than half full. The one coming back looked like it had arrived via the 1970's and was rammed. I would cry if that turned up at Glasgow bus station at 11pm on the Tuesday night to pick me up...
