She's made the right move here and it's good that she removed it so quickly but saying 'she should know better' is the kind of British exceptionalism that makes us all look like twats.

Someone at the record company should have definitely noticed though, I find it hard to believe the song got all the way to release without a British person hearing it.

I'd wondered if the word didn't have the same connotations in America as I remember Tiger Woods using it in an interview.

I found some Americans on TikTok (too old I know) complaining about the word 'nippy' because it has racial overtones in the US.

Surprising it wasn't spotted earlier, but I'm good with Lizzo's reaction, no need go all cancel culture.
