I certainly fall into that category! Still not sure I'll bother buying a ticket in advance though considering the last few years...
Chaarlie
Thinking this could sell out pretty easily now I think theres a decent crossover of fanbase and Thom doing a different solo show to what he's been touring will convince enough people to buy. Time to stop holding out on cheap/freebies? I'd be gutted to miss this

My point is that a festival shouldn’t be able to classify acts where females are in the minority as female acts.

wro_lap
Anyone seen Thom play solo acoustic before? Any idea what Radiohead songs he might pluck out? If he’s likely to bring out some of the big guns, I may well get a ticket.

You won't be able to tell because the sound levels will be low and everyone will be talking through it.
Chaarlie
I know its a very different act but when Mumford did that stupid thing where they were all singing around one Mic I couldn't hear a thing. Was pretty far back and not that interested in hearing it though in fairness. Hope its not a load of chatters waiting for Karma Police and shouting for him to play Creep but I think its more than likely. Will still be a good day and I'm happy to play full price for it, Massive Attack are always great and a different kind of stripped back Thom Yorke set will be nice. Shouldnt Really be considered covers since theyre still his songs, just without the band. He will have a keyboard/piano/laptop and guitar. Go look up his set from latitude in 2009, itll be like that. He did an acoustic set in paris a couple years ago and played radiohead, atoms for peace and solo material. Wish I could of seen that Latitude set, jees. jannybruck
Final announcement next week must be the one they're most confident in selling (Lana?) because we're into March and it's barely a few months away.

xxialac
Surely you can't put an acoustic set on one of APE's main two big stages?? I don't get it.

Won't be Lana del Rey because shes doing Glastonbury as her only UK fest.

True. 1 out of 6 is a bit pathetic. However, 0 out of 6 would be diabolical.

If LDR phoned Emily and asked if she could book other shows, Emily would say yes. I happened to be speaking with Emily when she took a call from Jay-Z's people asking that many years ago. But I guess LDR has told Emily she doesn't plan other shows for Emily to have said that.
