It's the BRIT Awards 2019 tomorrow.

The ceremony will air live on ITV between 8pm and 10:20pm.

List of nominees below.

Hugh Jackman will be opening the ceremony with a song from The Greatest Showman.

Calvin Harris is the headliner at the awards this year, and his performance will feature appearances from his collaborators Dua Lipa, Sam Smith and Rag’n’Bone Man. This means it’s likely that their tracks Promises, One Kiss and Giant will be on the set list.

Other performances on the night will include Little Mix, George Ezra, Jorja Smith and The 1975.

Pink will be honoured with the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award, which has not been presented at the Brits since Blur won it in 2012.

At first glance I can't see many names on the list we haven't already discussed on these boards as potentially being at Glastonbury 2019 or not.

I'm not sure if The Thingy (AHTT) knows if there's ever been any sort of Glastonbury announcement at the BRITS before? I can't recall one @Gnomicide

I wonder if anybody on here has ever heard any of the nominees for best song except for Shotgun which they're sick of because you can't go down the fucking shops without hearing it.

I seem to know all of them.  But I don't like any of them.

I know Shotgun, and Leave A Light On because they are both played endlessly on Absolute Radio.

I cannot stand either.

My 7 year old asked for Shotgun to be played the other day.

Fantastic song there by Geno Washington and the Ram Jam band.  Amazing tune, although you wouldn't have thought so by the look of disgust on her face.  I dunno kids these days.

I was thinking I might watch this but jesus the list of performers is fucking tragic. No decent musicians nominated for anything either bar Aphex Twin. Has the brits become a bit of a joke?

I think the Brits has always taken what's currently popular (certainly in the UK) and shaped the evening and awards around that. I don't think that formula has changed too much, just us getting older and probably further out of touch with what's popular with a certain demographic.

Putting Aphex Twin in there amongst that lot to try and gain some cool points is a bit embarrassing though.

Recent history demands that you stock up with half the contents of your local off licence (see @morph100) and consume whilst watching the ceremony / posting on here.

:D

It wouldn't be AS bad if it wasn't for the incessant screaming from the audience at everything. Still, it would take a lot more than drink to be able to sit through it all.

@Gnomicide

None that I'm aware of. NME Awards is your friend for that but there's no sign of it this year.
