Not only did they barely speak to the audience but they appeared to basically not be on speaking terms with one another either. Wouldn’t be shocked if they play Leeds and their homecoming gig and then sack off Neighbourhood Weekender Honestly came here to say this, constantly stopping and didn’t even finish with Tyrants. Was appalling from them, still have the tunes but such a fall. Crowd was good though
sacred shape
Anyone got a list of secrets sets at Reading yesterday? And do we have Don Broco rather than Frank Carter today at Leeds?
Ferda
Arena setup with 2 main stages is odd. On top of ridiculous bar queues, the side of arena with tents is super crowded while the other side where Dance tent used to be is half empty, at least in Reading. I hope the usual setup returns for next year

Plus they haven't got a screen inside the Lu tent only the one outside with no speakers, so you can see but not hear, given all the noise from elsewhere. I think when it's the FR tent it will really suffer because of that.

Not a clue why Catfish seem to have earned so much vitriol tonight. Im bias as a fan, and Ill admit from what I saw on the BBC stream they were having an off night, but the reaction has been over the top. I was at the back and quite enjoyed it... Their production on the big screens was awful though, would’ve been better just doing a proper TV feed

Well done to her! It wasn't just big, it was probably the most excited crowd I saw all day. Think she is one that benefitted from the year delay, she was originally due to do that slot in 2020 and has grown in popularity since. For me she was an interesting alternative to Liam G, but for others including my daughter she was a must see.
JamieB1830
sports team yesterday was fucking class, i lololol ed the way they hyped up the crowd by playing a CD screensaver but with their logo crowd went mad every time it hit a corner ahaha
Gerard the Fab
Don Broco were fucking insane yesterday, Rob looked like a sexy reincarnation of Brian May and the whole tent was electric, honestly Incredible. Declan McKenna was very good, although I didn’t expect much else. Aitchs crowd was absolutely massive (picture below) all my friends went in and said it was a nightmare. AJ Tracey was shit imo, apart from Rain and Ladbroke Grove I was more worried about making sure my mates didn’t get trampled on than listening to his garbage. I really enjoyed Catfish, but that might be rose tinted glasses coz I’ve waited 6 years to see them, I was stood next to the mixing desk and they sounded class, screamed every word naturally. And Stormzy was brilliant I didn’t want to miss any Catfish but we left after Homesick to get a decent spot, found a nice little place just to the left and behind the sound desk so we could see that back screen and the stage too. It was so so so good. Third guest he bought out I don’t think I’ve ever heard a bigger cheer. And ofc Vossi Bop went down magically Edited August 28, 2021 by Gerard the Fab

VCK
I'm at that age now where I have no idea who half these artists are. The Kid Laroi? Never heard of him, don't recognise a single one of his songs, and he's 3rd down.

It’s quite interesting to see how much impact TikTok has on the music industry.
rivalschools.price
My mate just says Rou from Shikari was in the Pit at Reading when Loathe were on. If this is bollocks then don’t blame me as I didn’t see himbut that’s what he reckons .

He's just enjoying the festival, doesn't mean Shikari are playing.

thatTFBguy
Sea Girls absolutely killed it today at Leeds. Would be surprised if anyone tops that set tomorrow. Crowd energy was excellent and they sounded great.
JamieB1830
wombats absolutely fucking killed it today, as did beabadoobee (who i wasn’t aware were so good) disclosure was also sick but club music isn’t really my scene, could still appreciate it though all in all i’m quite enjoying this so far, my one annoyance is the positive lateral flow tests i’ve seen dotted about the place, just dumped on the floor c**ts was always inevitable though, like i don’t want covid again but i’m probably coming home with it 😕
Paulmcm1998
Yonaka were phenomenal today they're such a good live band but sadly only watched their introducing set. Don Broco secret set was phenomenal I even bumped into Milkie from Wargasm in the pits which was nice. Declan McKenna was good. Aitch was phenomenal all day long, seen his own set and his appearances with AJ Tracey and Jack Harlow. Aitch really has something about him could definitely see him headlining in a few years time. AJ Tracey was pretty meh apart from his last few songs. I seen Dana Dentata and she was excellent it was a weird and wonderful set. Jack Harlow was brilliant and the crowd really popped off for his set but tech difficulties at the start shortnened his set by a good 10/15 minutes. Seen a bit of stormzy but wasnt really feeling it he's a terrific performer but just don't think he's got sing along hits to be a good headliner IMO. I went to MK and enjoyed his set

Gerry played the one song I wanted lol but Biffy Clyro's set was just not for me anymore. Two less songs than Margate too but I've got to the point where too many new songs not the same standard are included. Like for Download next year, the undercard actually for me wanted a different headliner and Biffy were not who I hoped were replaced as this headliner. It's getting easier to just picked Descendants next year now. Also with Catfish, it seems Swansea may be on but like it might not be what I hoped for.
