Yh King Gizz do so many different styles as well, you have the quite Tame Impala ish Flying Microtonal Banana and then the almost stoner Rock of songs like Elbow and some off Willoughbys Beach. And the metal vibes of Rats Nest. So good

If you haven't seen King Gizz at a show you'll have to next time they're over. I think the second live drummer has left the band though although they really are a one of a kind experience.

Was scared that the abundance of genres/ styles wouldn't work that great on one set-list but they really know how to make it work!

Yungblud will always be tainted in my eyes for what he did here:

That's unforgivable a genuinely awful cover. I don't know how anyone could find this enjoyable but that's the beauty of everyone having different taste

I'm a big Chats fan (one of my gig highlights last year and one of the AOTY this year) and I really didn't mind it. Hate covers that are the exact same song with a different vocalist, he defo put his own spin on it. But like you said, everyone has their own taste

I'll be honest, I think Yungblud's version is better. I say this though not liking The Chats version.

 this actually bangs ffs

I read about them about a month ago in NME, I actually really like the album.

The whole album really reminds me of Roll Deep "Good Time".

I hope Headie One plays.

His year for the taking imo, album out next week which could really propel him to the next level. Feel like he would want a high slot next year or at least his management would.

I get the whole subjectivity thing, but his version just removes the whole rugged "so crap it's good" charm of the original.

It’s possible to enjoy both in different ways

I feel Rex Orange County with his new live album coming out today. Is going to play R&L he will be one of the logos to be announced on the mainstage was meant to play the R1. Incredibly popular and would fit in well with what they have announced already.

would love to see the porn crumpets at reading (not sure its their crowd though). I saw them with the strokes at APE last year in the jagerhaus stage, was absolutely packed we couldn't even see them. (tiny stage to be fair, about 500 people max).

really want to see the chats too, i've loved smoko for 2 years or so now

Saw 'em at Electric Ballroom roughly this time last year. Excellent band.

They’re fucking brilliant, all of a sudden I’m finding lots of new music that didn’t really appeal to me before.

Decided to listen to KIWANUKA and it’s blown me away, exceptional album

Also listened to Loyle Carner, The Ezra Collective and Anderson.Paak all of which I would’ve turned my nose up at before.

“many more stages to be announced” also think this confirms the face to face setup of the stages

Quite good, means you can spin round and see the other act clearly if you are waiting at the front of the other stage for someone else

I made a real quick five minute example of what the two stages could look like if they faced each other:

Wasn't that wrong to be fair. Got ridiculed on here for saying that I thought they were facing each other.
