Kendal Calling vs YNOT

I’ve been to Kendal twice now and may fancy YNOT for a change (plus it’s nearer my home) this year. 

Has anyone been to both? How do they compare? I know the line up is very similar each year but what about the site and facilities?

Any comments welcome, thanks.

Both similar but Y not had problems over last few years with new production team finding their feet The weather been unkind to them also but it’s been equally unkind to Kendal and it would appear Kendal are more equipped set up to deal with the rain . But that said a change is as good as rest !

It's been a much younger crowd when I've been to ynot with a slightly more chaotic feel to it but every time I've been it's been a great weekend. When the weather moves in though its really exposed.

Does YNOT have anything similar to Tim Peaks as that is somewhere I really like at Kendal?

Not that I recall. There's not as much going on as at kendal calling. The local brewery does epic cider though ?

Thanks everyone for your input. I’ve seen the YNOT line and just gone for Kendal tickets!

For one heart stopping moment, I saw they had sold out but went for the payment plan option. Bizarrely they haven’t sold out of them.

Think Kendal line up edges it for me, not that I think there's anything bad about Y Not, besides Elbow. 

Manics are one of my fave bands so was always gonna be a tough ask for Y Not. Looking forward to Nile Rodgers, IDLES and The Fratellis too. 

The line up poster isn't massively clear, are the 4 headliners Orbital on the Thursday, then Courteeners, Doves and Nile Rodgers? Manics seems to be in the same large print but lower down?
