Depending what kind of atmosphere you want choose where you pitch your tent carefully.

If you're in general camping the rule of thumb is pretty much the same with most festivals, the closer you are to the arena entrance the more rowdy it will be... and from what we've seen in years gone by it can get pretty rowdy.

If you want a slightly calmer camping area head left when you get into the general camping, more rowdy head right.  If you're in emperors field or another upgraded field they're usually pretty calm and more family orientated.

Calling out has always been a good tent and a number of lesser known acts at the time have featured here and gone on to be reasonable sized bands, kasabian, cat fish and the bottlemen etc.

The food offerings have always been good and varied at Kendal and reasonably priced, the drinks are as always a little more expensive so planning some trips back to your tent to refresh is cost effective, we don't endorse smuggling drinks in but if you try it accept you will likely be frisked on entry to the arena and may loose a can or two trying it.

The silent disco in the woods is always a winner and goes on well past the last headliner, but be prepared to queue for a headset.

Most of all explore, there's always something fun going on somewhere on site.
