So now that the headliner chat has become a bit more settled after the insanity of suggesting that Led Zep would reform for the 50th festival celebrations (thought that dream is not yet dead...)

What absurdity can we conjure up for this slot again? Wasn't there speculation from Neil that 2019 didn't get booked but that the 2020 act was already in the frame and was massive? Or has that been debunked?

That came from Emily herself, not something Neil had heard. Obviously things can always go wrong and the act they had might’ve bailed, but as it stands we’re still expecting a bigger than usual act for this.

Judas Priest touring, playing festivals, not yet announced anything for that date, said British metal bands should be doing it when Metallica played.

Still think it might be a Metallica 'special guests' slot. Lars loves the festival and will be there as a punter, could see him volunteering their services well in advance given the band doing it have been signed up for ages.

Offspring would be nice, I don’t listen to them anymore. But I passed on them at Reading (2012?), thinking they’d play Reading again and I’d see them.. little did I know I would get tickets to Glasto 2013 and no longer want to attend Reading.

It’s going to be something like Priest or Def Leppard isn’t it? An act that a Glasto crowd will know at least a few songs. Priest had proper hits and were on TOTP.

Looking at their setlists I can't think of more of a feast then Prophets of Rage.

Don't seem to be touring though.

Those are all headline shows but they usually do a mix.
