In a way I agree, I guess it's just a question of how important are the big names for you and for me.

On the other hand, I0m mostly fine with clashes as long as I have something interesting to see anytime. Having always something interesting to see, no matter the size, is key to me. I guess for that reason Lowlands is such a nice festival from my point of view.

I love Weval too!

Well, the headliners aren't important to me at all, I usually fill a complete day on the other stages. The disappointment for me personally was that - again, at first sight - the rest of the day and stages didn't have many interesting names. And the 4 that I do find interesting clash or overlap. I added the Royal Blood and The Staat part because I think they are weak Alpha bookings, considering how many times you could have seen them in the past years. And yes, I know The Staat replaces The Prodigy, but don't get me started on what I thought of that booking... ?

edit: I'm not going this year, but the festival is still in my heart as the festival that rules them all :)

Oh, the peer pressure. Friends persuaded me to tag along so went to Ticketswap and will be joining the party for the first time in four years for my tenth Lowlands in total. Probably won't make it until Friday morning though, flying back from Sziget on Thursday. ;)

Flying out first thing on Thursday. Some kind of engineering works taking place so it will require a small detour from Amsterdam on the train, but nothing major from what I can tell. Weather forecast looks variable at the moment, but will make it work and added bonus that the main stages seem to be under a roof. Few nasty clashes/overlaps, but plenty to look forward to over the three days. Just need to make my mind up between Fontaines and the The Streets!

The Streets. Fontaines will be around for a while longer yet, the Streets might not be.

I don't understand how people are selling camping tickets for 100+ euros? how is it that expensive compared to any other festival?

I think you are confusing camping tickets with festival ticket (camping included). Though tickets were initailly like 200 Euros people are selling them much cheaper now due to horrible weather forecast.

oh well tht makes more sense I thought the festival tickets was only the 3 days w/o camping, cause I'm looking on it on ticketswap and looking at camping regular tickets are around 100 euros. Thanks for the clarification !

Thanks very much for the reply.

I am really looking forward to it. Glad to hear eticketbeur.nl has a decent reputation. My biggest fear is the tickets not working and the thought of trying to get more in the queue. it'd be quite stressful ?

As we are coming from Scotland i am thinking of booking one of the glamping accommodation, but the fear of not getting in and losing that also is holding me back a bit.

I'd imagine like all festivals there will be people selling spare tickets in the queue. Worst case scenario is all our tickets failing and having to queue with people to ensure their tickets are valid before handing over any money.

I guess I'll be stressed until we are all in???

I was wondering, did you get in ok with your eticketbeurs tickets? If yes, enjoying the festival so far? Been watching some live streams here in Holland and it looks awesome as always.
