I got this one in the black friday sales and its still half price ... it is bulky but looks a great tent although I haven't had a chance to try it out yet ... but there is a whole thread dedicated to fresh and black tents that might be worth tapping into the search at the top of the page

I bought this one (unfortunately not at this price ? ) as had a fresh & black tent previously that I liked but was too small but haven't had a chance as yet to test it out.

It might also be worth looking at this seller on ebay as they sell returns from Go Outdoors- have considered them for a new family tent but as we aren't doing a festival as a family this year haven't bothered

Can’t believe no-one’s said it yet...

Now is the winter of our discount tents.

Now, to be useful, this Fresh & Black one gets the thumbs up from me for a bit of extra shut-eye in the blazing sun we will be having: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/2-seconds-3-xlfreshblack-id_8492484.html?iv_=__iv_p_1_g_65718919671_c_316416350639_w_pla-329016726863_n_g_d_m_v__l__t__r_1o1x_pla_y_15177021_f_online_o_2556864_z_GB_i_en_j_329016726863_s__e__h_1006886_ii__vi__&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIuqfm_Yfc3wIVyLHtCh2I2wYWEAQYASABEgLUQPD_BwE (Available in non-pop-up for £70)

There are a bewildering tent types available and I would recommend a trip to your local Decathon and Go-Outdoors to view. There you will be able to see how much space each tent offers, get an idea of their ease of assembly (& importantly...disassembly!) and get a feel for their weight. All should help your selection though you also have to consider your budget and how you will get the tent onto the festival site (sack truck or carry?).

You don't have to buy your tent from either of these stores as often it pays to shop around. But it also depends on how much time you're prepared to put into getting a tent. One thing to remember however. Quecha brand tents are exclusive to Decathlon.

As to my personal choice....I'm through with cramped pop-ups barely long enough to lay out flat, being only to be able kneel and no space to swing a mouse....let alone a cat. I've gone for a Vango Talos. A 4 berth tent for the 2 us with large living/utility space 1.8m high.

And finally...if you value space always double up on size. A 1 person tent is just 1 person tent, no room for any belongings or the kit needed for 5 days.

I have this tent and used it last Glastonbury, it's great. The blackout really does work and its easy to put up but you will need to take a pump with you.

Does any pump work or does it have to be their signature pump? Quite intrigued with this tent, but will be travelling by coach and not sure if taking a pump with me is extra weight that could be used elsewhere/on other stuff...

Good question: one I need answered as well. I’ve bought the tent and it’s sitting in my cupboard now, but I didn’t buy the pump thingo - figuring I could use my own pump. Not had a chance to go to a local park and erect the bugger yet, so hopefully another kind soul can give us the gen

Led to believe the recommended pump only weighs half a kilo and ensures inflation is quick. Alternative if you have time to spare a bike pump with the appropriate adaptor can be used ?

We got the pump it recommends - our other one didn't work. It's quite big, but doesn't weigh anything. You can carry it within the tent bag strap handles easily.
