I have no idea of the process when purchasing a tipi for the festival but would I be right in thinking you don't get an option of where said tipi is located?

Which means if they want to move them elsewhere tough cookies?

I've stayedin the tipi field before, your assigned a tipi when you arrive dont really get much say on where in the field it actually is, arriving as earlyas possibke and abit of persuasion would likely give you a better chance of being somewhere specific though.

I think Tipi Park is reserved for vips etc, and more likely what emily is referring to in the interview, its not thst big and coukd be easily accommodated elsewhere.

Yeah I have a feeling its the smaller tipi sections thats below the Glastonbury sign... which is practically in the Park area. This would match what she said about the Park getting some changes and something new.

The bigger tipi village at the bottom of the hill to worthy view is pretty massive and would be hard to move... plus its a beloved area I couldn't see them moving.

perhaps they'll shift the Rabbit Hole over a bit into the space vacated by the Tipis, so that's it's still on the corner with easy access to backstage? most of it is already off-limits to the public, so having that backstage stuff (eg. the yellow/blue marquee above) over a bit wouldn't make much of a difference? @ian the worm

then something new across the gap from the BBC studio?

A nice reminder of the mud that year. A trip up the ribbon tower is a must for me this year (ticket gods depending).

Jesus, look how turned up it was before a note had been played on any of the main stages!

If it wasn't for the pristine grass infront of the stage, I would have said those photos were taken early hours of sunday/monday.

Not that I should let ground conditions/weather affect my enjoyment of the festival, but I am willing to make a deal with the devil to have similar conditions as '17 this year

God, 2016 was a fuckawful joyless experience, wasn’t it.

2017 completely restored my faith, though.

Somewhat ominously, the weather in Somerset over "Glastonbury weekend" in 2018 was perfect. Low 20s, fresh mornings, partially cloudy skies with lots of sunshine, warmish evenings, beautiful sunsets, absolutely no rain. Heaven knows what awaits us this year...

Blimey, shows what my memory is like. I remember it being really hot and thinking that it would have been murder down there in the heat. I live half hours drive away. Could have just convinced myself of that of course

It started to get hot - really hot - on the Monday.

Packing up would have been uncomfortable, and the weekend after would have been crazy, but (what would've been) the festival weekend was better than we've had in a very long time.

It was just a challenge. I felt that I missed out on so much due to practicalities of getting around a muddy site and being physically exhausted by Saturday, never mind sunday.

2017 was a breeze in comparison.

This is my only concern at the moment.  The last 2 years have had amazing weather over Glasto, I hope we hit the jackpot again!

I suppose low 20s is really hot for a lot of people tbf. For me, it was perfect and I had a major strop on all weekend ?

2016 was a proper experience, and looking back I'd say it was a 75% positive experience.

Always a positive experience!

I'd take a torrential, boggy, physically challenging, disgusting mud fest over a fallow year every time.
