Me and my friend saw bets were being taken for Sports Personality of the Year contrary to it already happening to see what would happen. He put a tenner on and the bet went through surprisingly on Sky Bet. Will he get the winnings or his tenner back? Very strange, ever happened before? £110 if he does. Jesus.

I would think they would be obliged to give the stake back if they have effectively voided the bet. I think I did it once and the bookie honoured the bet.
