I'm about three quarters of the way through it and enjoying it. Friday is a bit clashtastic, but will definitely catch her Park slot on Saturday.

Yeah she's a must for me. Absolutely loved her first lp. Have played this one once and it's pretty decent. She's an old soul.

New Alex Cameron here. The album is one of my most anticipated for the year and is out on September 13.

There's also another new Metronomy single in the morning, along with "other news", which will presumably be the album release date for them. Hopefully a tour as well, but that might come later.

I know they’re not popular on here but I think this cover is fantastic

Kinda O/T (will get around to listening to this later when I’m ready to have a cry) but I gave Biffy’s latest ‘soundtrack’ album a listen after enjoying their IOW set on tele and its the best thing they’ve done in ages imo. Shame it won’t read a wider audience and will no doubt not make much of an impact on their setlists after this initial promotion of it.

One day anything to do with Frabbit won't make me tear up. Today is not that day.

The Midnight Organ Fight covers album is going to be emotional. Can imagine both Daughter and Manchester Orchestra versions being tough to hear.

If you're fans of Frightened Rabbit, a 'guerilla gig' show covering the MOF album is being put on by a couple of fans (who appear to be musicians too, thankfully) at 8pm on the Thurs: https://www.facebook.com/events/446848322544282/

Ta! Definitely looks interesting.

Still one of my favourite Glastonbury memories was them on John Peel when they'd sent out loads of flags in the post and it was just a sea of flags.

Regretfully I never saw the band perform live. I will definitely consider this as it sounds like a great tribute.

Today’s a good day! New Hot Chip, The Raconteurs, Mark Ronson and Two Door Cinema Club all out.

Just working through Racs album at work. It's good, not amazing. Singles certainly the best tracks. Need to have a listen on a few different systems before my final rating. Forgot Hot Chip was same day!

The Raconteurs one was alright, wasn't really feeling it today though. Not given up on it though, I'll just come back to it another time.

Black Midi's is glorious, pretty wacky and heavy. I love it.

Enjoyed the Titus Andronicus one as well, never really listened to them before but saw it was out today and have read the name on here. was expecting dance music for some reason ahah. Will have to check out the rest of the back catalogue at some point.

The Monitor by Titus Andronicus is fantastic, forgot they had a new album out so I'll give that a listen.

Noted, cheers! Will give it a go when I've weaned myself off this Black Midi album. I was all ready to give it a rest on Spotify then the postman dropped off the record which got me all excited again ahah.
