MisterWives have a new EP out today, the single from it is fun enough, if a little thin. Nothing major stands out though, I went through the new Crimeapple album (hip-hop), got Woolworm in the queue (indie/punk), Macseal (err.. emo?) and obviously FKA Twigs on the menu.

False Advertising release their official debut today despite knocking round releasing stuff for years. Decent enough alt trio, the guitarist and drummer switch mid set when you see them live, its a bit jarring.

If you like Justice check out the SebastiAn album. Havent got around to listening to it yet but the singles were great.

Second the Max Cooper shout. New Lapalux album was also sounding Jon Hopkins-y from the singles too

Apre released a new EP and they were pretty good supporting Friendly Fires the other week

Definitely a weak week though

Got through the first couple of Max Cooper tracks, I like but not quite what I need t get me through a Friday morning!  Maybe fast forward 12 hours and I'll be giving it a listen

Agreed.  I like.  Again, I'll have to come back to it later though.  Something about a Friday in the office, I tend to gravitate back to stuff I know and can sing along to in my head while I plough through a pile of admin shite.

I haven't listened to it yet but Have A Nice Life have a new album out today and I'm sure you liked the single when I posted it a few months ago. 

Really enjoyed FKA Twigs album, I never actually listened to her earlier stuff other than a few singles but this is really good. Not sure about the song with Future on it though.

Second the thoughts on FKA Twigs. Magdalene is such a good album. Have already played it a few times over.

Chances of her playing at Glastonbury this year? She played West Holts in 2015, so surely due a return!

I've been predicting her for Park headliner, but I wouldn't be surprised to see her headline the WH or JP either. I'm leaning towards WH atm.

Would love to see FKA Twigs on the farm. Didn't really "get" her music until I saw her on West Holts and was completely mesmerised by the music and amazing choreography and production.

Think Twigs is too big for the Park now. She'd find a good home on any of the larger stages, although the Other would be somewhat undesirable.

Just listened to the single that came out (looking on their twitter it looks like the record was pushed to 22nd Nov) and thought it was pretty good, will definitely give the album a spin when it comes out

Magdelene was great but I felt like it kinda dropped off for the second half of the album. Felt like it was missing a banger on the level of Two Wreks too tbh.

SebastiAn album was great, thought the majority of the featurea worked really well (other than maybe the Charlotte Gainsborough track). Wish I hadnt heard Run For Me before, it makes such an amazing closer to the album.

Max Cooper album was a bit of a mixed bag, liked a lot of the dancier tracks but a lot of the more ambient cuts were a bit lost on me.

Canadian indie band, this new album is giving me a few Radiohead vibes.

Had completely forgot about these! Used to smash their first album so much when i came across it. Will give this a play at some point today
