Plastic Mermaids debut is a great listen. FFO Flaming lips, Mercury rev, general psychedelia. Their latest video is worth a watch just for the animation:

Best band this year imo.. Shame there not playing Glastonbury

Well they were debuting a roaring banger of a new song at Glastonbury 2017 so now they’re back on tour I should hope so.

Helloooo. Joe might have over-produced this tbh but it bangs on the setlist so wgaf.

Shout out to every cool act for coming back today btw.

Debut album from Yonaka released today. Singles all brilliant and the rest is sounding saucy on first listen.

First heard this band as a Thursday evening opener at bestival in 2016, been brilliant watching their journey to the debut. Get it into your ears

Seconded. I've seen them at a couple of festivals and I'm seeing them on their tour on Monday. The songs really have an extra oomph live too.

Only listened to Miley (amazing) and Skepta (just alright) today. What am I missing out on?

Thought Skepta was alright as well, the song on Slowthai's album he features on better than anything here though.

Denzel Curry released ZUU which wasn't as good as his last one but still really good. Nothing really touches Ricky on it though.

Psychedelic Porn Crumpets (god I hate typing that name) released a really great album, I didn't know if I could be arsed when I put it on but it was really good, solid psych-garage.

Chase And Status' album was suprisingly good, I don't know much about 'the dance' music but it's been great working along to, been annoying everyone in my office drumming along to it.

New Noel Gallagher track was alright, I was mega curious when he said what he thought it sounded like then confused when I actually listened to it, its not as out there as he thinks ahah. New Hideous Sun Demon track as well was good, they've got an EP coming out early July.

Currently on Doug Tuttle, its nice enough psych-y, folky stuff, probably go back to something a bit hard hitting to get through my Friday afternoon.

I've still to listen to it, but Sacred Paws 2nd album came out today. Their first album won Scottish album of the year. Their first album is really melodic guitar with interesting rhythms.

I'm listening to new Chase & Status album right now, but quite excited to check out Sacred Paws one when I finish.

New Chase & Status starts well. Feels a long time coming.

I'm half way through it. Think "No More Idols" will always be my favourite album of theirs, but this is shaping up to be comfortably my 2nd favourite. Quite impressed with how each of their albums have quite a different feel to them.
