Just gave the new Brown album a spin - it’s largely forgettable but special mention must go to the last track - Bresking Down The Walls, which is an utter abomination. You haven’t known horror until you’ve heard Ian Briwn adopt a faint Jamaican accent and sing about Babylon while an organ plays in the background.

Caught this band supporting INHEAVEN last year during Independent Venue Week and became a big fan. This is their first EP and it's pretty great. Definite early Wolf Alice vibes. I'm seeing them again in a couple of weeks, but would love to see them pop up on either Williams Green or early John Peel.

I imagine they'll play the four they've released already and maybe one or two more? Have a great time anyway !

They (White Lies) were awesome.

I'd begun to consider them as the band-I-keep-seeing-whenever-I-walk-past-the-Other-stage-around-6pm but they are much more than that.  If they play Glastonbury this year I hope they get the evening slot their set deserves.

Friendly Fires (sunshine) > White Lies (sunset) > Chemical Brothers on Other in 2011 is probably my favourite Glasto run of bands.

that sounds great.  I've just had a look to see where I was (my memory is awful) as I couldn't remember seeing White Lies play that late.  I was at the Park seeing  Pulp, which was brilliant enough.

Yeah our group was split half and half between Park and Other.

I’ve never heard The Cat Empire but they’re playing just down the road from where I live at a free festival next weekend so I’ll have to check them out.

Didn’t realise they were Aussie. I’ll keep an eye out for them crossing the Tasman.

Florence's Moderation has been popping up in Spotify playlists and I have to say despite being a bit of a grower I do quite like it. In any case it's made me reminisce over her previous headline set, which I thought was just fantastic. She was booked as an unknown at my old Uni's SU venue way back when and I took a punt. She was fantastic of course and to see her go from there to top the Pyramid was something special.

Five is a bit White Lies by numbers, but they have their sound absolutely nailed down as far as I'm concerned and I really like it. They tweeted a while ago about Talk Talk's Spirit Of Eden and you can clearly hear its influence in some of these tracks. Although actually with some tunes, I've tried my best with Spirit Of Eden but don't understand the acclaim personally. Buzzing for Thursday night now.

Yeah I agree with this. I’m enjoying so far though as it’s a great sound. Will see if I keep turning to it after a few more listens. Would love to see them at the farm.

Gary Clail of On U Sound/Tackhead fame.  He’s been quiet for a few years ( he’s been working with homeless, ex offenders etc- he practices the social justice he preaches) but hearing some snippets of material and talk of a new album on the horizon. Would be great to see him at Glastonbury; I know Mark Stewart and Adrian Sherwood have been there in recent years but Clail would be a great comeback story.

Saw them a few years back as my bro-in-law is in to them - can't remember the name of the album I listened to over and over at the time, but they were fantastic fun from what I remember.
