Woffy
Album Confidence Man (not the ‘best’ album I’ve listened to, but the most enjoyable by far. As my almost 3 year old daughter is smitten with it, she sings along and dances like crazy to it. It’s been an utter hilarious joy. It’s her gateway to music that isn’t the bingly bongly boo Pepoa Pig song. And she’s coming to the festival next year, so I hope they play) Song Out the Window - Confidence Man (see above, mini-Woffling’s favourite) Gig Interpol - RAH Festival None Movie Lady Bird Books Apparently I have no life and don’t watch much TV: David Olusuga - First Contact - The Cult of Progress (BBC Civilisations series) Emma J Wells - Pilgrim Routes Of the British Isles Tim Marshall - Prisoners of Geography Haruki Murakami - What I Talk About When I Talk About Running Scott Jurek - Eat & Run Jessica J Lee - Turning Mischa Glenny - McMafia / The Balkans Janina Ramirez - Julian of Norwich Laurie Penny - The Bitch Doctrine Finished the Edinburgh History of Rome series: Guy Bradley - Early Rome to 290 Clifford Ando - Imperial Rome 193 - 284 Jill Harries - Imperial Rome 284-363 AD Lee - From Rome to Byzantium 363 - 565 Stephen Inwood - History Of London (still reading it) Rebecca Rideal - 1666: Plague, War & Hellfire Edward St Aubyn - The Patrick Melrose Novels (Thanks @Mardy amazing recommendation) Diarmaid MacCulloch - History of Christianity Favourite eFester FR too many to mention Did you miss Glastonbury? Not so much. Bought a new house / moved. Didn’t miss the stress of T-Day either. Three wishes for Glastonbury 2019 1. Dry 2. Confidence Man 3. Stereolab Festivals lined up for 2019 Hopefully HistFest will return this time next year (the inaugural one is happening right now, organised by the divine Rebecca Rideal ?) HS94
Album Wet will Always Dry – Blawan Song Talking straight – rolling blackouts coastal fever Gig Arcade Fire at Wembley or The Streets at Brixton, or The Chemical Brothers at Ally Pally (it’s been a very very good year for my gig going) Festival LCD Soundsystem at All Points East. Movie Hereditary Book Normal People – Sally Rooney Favourite eFester I’m a long time lurker, newly registered member, so I can’t possibly nail my colours to the mast just yet. Did you miss Glastonbury? I missed being able to go to a proper festival and have some time away with friends, but I was in a really bad place in my life in June so it wouldn’t have been a good one for me, so mixed emotions here. Three wishes for Glastonbury 2019 1. better clash management (I missed so much good stuff due to being a bit disorganised/off my tits all weekend, it was my first glastonbury as well so didn’t quite know the best way to approach things.) 2. Better camping spot than 2017 (we arrived very late on the Wednesday and were way out the way by the Johnny Depp Car field) 3. something to really surprise me on the lineup poster (remember grinning ear to ear seeing the national on the 2017 poster, would love for something like Frank Ocean to be there on the poster, but I know its unlikely) Festivals lined up for 2019 Just Glastonbury at the moment, will probably try and get some All Points East tickets, maybe Florence and The National at BST, but waiting to see all the lineups before I commit to anything.

Welcome to you, as a long time lurker, now a poster. And can I just put it out there to the wider eFests community that ‘the Johnny Depp Car Field’ should now be added to the lexicon. Perjoratively.

Quark
Album Hard to call, but at the moment I'd say Hope Downs - Rolling Blackouts CF Song Can't narrow it down to one, so: Happy Unhappy - The Beths Arps n Crafts - Spencer Brown Lunatic - The Slow Readers Club Gig Toss up between Magic Gang at Concorde 2 and Teleman at Lightbox Festival Beautiful Days (only one I did this year ) Movie Avengers: Infinity War Book Not released this year, but All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr Favourite eFester Pass Did you miss Glastonbury? Surprisingly not. BDs gave me something different to do, and it's nice to have a break. Three wishes for Glastonbury 2019 1. Dry (obvs) 2. A properly unexpected big announcement, even if not necessarily a Pyramid headliner. Could be a smaller stage act or a support act, but something with an element of "fuck me I didn't see that coming" about it. 3. Changes to SE corner. Just something to shake it up a bit that makes me want to go and explore it again. Festivals lined up for 2019 Only Glastonbury. We'll be doing a proper holiday next summer so combination of time off and cash means that'll probably be it.

bexj
Album This is Eggland - The Lovely Eggs Song Deportation blues - BC Camplight Gig Really hard to choose! AAlex
Album Isaac Gracie (self titled) - Not many 2018 releases jump to mind, this has had a fair few plays. Song Arctic Monkeys - Batphone (same as above) Gig Rolling Stones at Murrayfield (If I can count a festival performance, Curtis Harding in The Barn at Rock Werchter) Festival Rock Werchter, Mad Cool had the best line up I've ever been to but I can't fault anything about RW... other than it clashes with Glastonbury next year! Movie A Quiet Place Favourite eFester Thought I was being original putting jj200 but I guess not Did you miss Glastonbury? Managed to fill the void with a busy Summer but I'm definitely ready to go back. Three wishes for Glastonbury 2019 1. To have excuses to visit stages I missed in 2017, poor effort didn't see anyone on The Park, West Holts, Arcadia or Silver Hayes. Particularly regret The Park, and will go even if it's not someone I'm massively bothered about. 2. Moby 3. Head into the South East corner at least one night after a headliner, even if it changes me as a person. Festivals lined up for 2019 This is Tomorrow, Glastonbury, Fleetwood Mac in Dublin... didn't realise Primavera Porto was the same weekend as the Nations League until we'd booked flights, so hopefully a day ticket there and a European one once more of the line ups are out (probably NOS Alive)
