Well, you tried it just for once found it all right for kicks
But now you found out that it's a habit that sticks
And you're an orgasm addict, you're an orgasm addict
Sneaking in the back door with dirty magazines
Now your mother wants to know 'bout all those stains on your jeans
And you're an orgasm addict, you're an orgasm addict
Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh
Uh, uh, uh
You get in a heat, you get in a sulk
But you still keep a-beating your meat to pulp
And you're an orgasm addict, you're an orgasm addict
You're a kid Casanova, you're no Joseph
It's a labor of love fucking yourself to death
Orgasm addict, you're an orgasm addict
Uh huh, uh
Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh
You're makin' out with school kids
Winos and heads of state
You even made it with the lady
Who puts the little plastic bobbins on the Christmas cakes
Butchers' assistants and bellhops
You've had them all here and there
Children of God and their joy strings
International women with no body hair
Ooh, so whether you're asking in an alley and your voice ain't steady
Your sex mechanic's rough, you're more than ready
You're an orgasm addict, you're an orgasm addict
Johnny want fuckie always and all ways
He's got the energy, he will remain
He's an orgasm addict, he's an orgasm addict
He's always at it
He's always at it
And he's an orgasm addict
He's an orgasm addict

Am genuinely gutted about this news. Pete Shelley along with Joe Strummer were the antipathy of punk. Clever lyrics with a POINT to make. My personal view is that both were not punk, in essence, but modern day poets.... Time will tell.

Really annoyed that great people pass on to early.

Genuinely gutted by this news.

Buzzcocks totally owned it at Leftfield 2015.

Part of the soundtrack of my youth. Never ever thought I would get the chance to see them.

I went to that set by myself and the energy was amazing. Wouldn't have crossed my mind it would be the last time. Sad loss. Rip

Did you mean to downvote H.M.V.’s reply?

Erm. No. Obviously not. Huge apologies if that is what happened. The opposite was intended.

I've been having issues with this site for months. I need to upgrade. (Running Vista on a ten year old computer. I can't access eFests vis Chrome these days, only via an old toolbar link via IE. IE sucks).

Who called me Grandad! Do I want a bag on my head?

I really need to upgrade because Steam will stop running on Vista come the new year (What a con that is. Don't start me off).

In the often macho world of Punk, Shelley had a knack for tapping into his emotions and in turn wrote the perfect pop songs. Didn’t get the chance to see them in the Punk days as was too young, but caught them a couple of times the last few years always a great night full of energy. RIP Pete

Awful news. I bought ‘Orgasm Addict’ 45 the week it was released in 1977 and first saw the band at the Rock Against Racism Festival in Manchester in 1978, alongside Steel Pulse and Graham Parker.

Check out the album Another Music In A Different Kitchen, it gives an added dimension to them, with inventive and long tracks to go with the classic melodic songs Pete wrote.

Heard what do I get on the radio today. Some great tunes. Sad news.

Think I might have stumbled into that in 2015.... late afternoon maybe after Belle and Sebastian on yon other ?

Yeah that was it. Absolutely brilliant set, just pounding out the tunes with no let up at all. One of my favourites on the farm.

Really sad one this :(
