H.M.V
A fucking thread for Sting (stung) and none for one of the most magnificent performers of our time. Just got back from her gig in Manchester. I fucking cried. I've never cried at a gig before. Actually once. LCD soundsystem 2016. Future pyramid headliner question? Gotta be nailed on. Wow wow wow!
Brownie30
Saw her at the same venue the night before. Comfortably one of the best shows I've seen in an exceptionally long time and hope to see her given a very solid slot next year. JP headline too much of a stretch...?
CaledonianGonzo
They'll likely put her on the Pyramid, third down or so.
fionajm777
Saw her in Glasgow. Absolutely class. I cried too.
mashedonmud
Missed this at Glastonbury, was gutted. Still am now I've been reminded. ?
BlueDaze
I saw Christine and the Queens at Latitude in 2016 only a few days after the Bastille Day atrocities in Nice. It was hugely emotional performance and the outpouring of love and appreciation from the crowd reflected their truly heartfelt and passionate performance... I would not be surprised if Latitude have her back next year to at least headline their BBC stage.. A similar spot on The Park stage would be amazing. tbf.. the Sting thread is hardly an homage. It is full of abuse and vitriol.

Hugh Jass
The roasting of Sting appears to have been shut down anyway. EDIT: The Roa-Sting if you will... Edited November 29, 2018 by Hugh Jass
Spacey
Saw her on The Other Stage in 2016. Right up the front in the pouring rain. She was amazing! Also saw her at Brixton academy. Hoping she will be at Glastonbury next year. That will make my day!
Phoenix Girl
Now this is the thread to end my posting embargo. I LOVE Christine and the Queens sooo much. I haven’t seen her (them?) live. (I missed Glasto in 16). Huge praise from this thread, and actual crying at her gigs? Amazing. Please please let her be at the farm ?? Ayrshire Chris
Would love to see her back. After 2016 on the other stage we saw her in Glasgow, the place was entranced by her and the band. It was an end of tour gig and was incredible. What a voice, everything sung with such emotion. Ah, the sun is coming out!

Had to watch a few times. Not been affected by a performance so much for ages

SomeoneListeningIn
I can't see Christine being anything less than Other headliner or Pyramid sub if she's there.

Smeble
Well this will be my membership of the cool club denied again but I just don’t see the appeal, emperors new clothes as far as I’m concerned.

That, to me, is the beaut of music. What a dull world if we all liked the same thing. Personally I like CATQ and really hope to see them live soon. Sting to me is dull as were the Police but others like them which is fine. I like Oasis, and I am sure that is frowned upon.

I really wasnt so sure of the quality of the songs tbh... But the live performance was something else and she really does have a set of pipes on her... Don’t be daft. Course she could play lower. 1 hour ago, Smeble said: Well this will be my membership of the cool club denied again but I just don’t see the appeal, emperors new clothes as far as I’m concerned. Was thinking about it earlier and I’d actually rather watch The Kooks.
