I saw Katrina and the Waves once. Their entire setlist was Love Shine a Light followed by Walking On Sunshine. Then the same again.

Still.  More substance than The Killers are going to headline Glastonbury with.

Most of the bands that have done that slot are academy fodder - James, Charlatans, Kaisers... The Stereophonics play arenas and headline mid-sized festivals, early in the day with nothing of note against them they'd draw a huge crowd, far too big for that stage. It's exactly the same reason why Noel Gallagher won't do it.

It'd be worth doing though, I reckon.  That way everyone in the field could be put on some sort of blacklist and forbidden from applying for tickets until they repent their sins.

We are, but still the voice behind it. Also, that just means you have Noel, Dua Lipa and George Ezra to rely on for 2020 subs.

Ezra will be above subbing festivals come 2020, and I don’t see why Dua Lipa would be any higher than third from the top even with a new album of bangers.
