JackTooth
Hi all, 2019 is my first Glastonbury and — for what it's worth — my first festival! The idea of going solo was appealing to me at first, but it's getting more and more daunting as the festival approaches... I'll be around all the way through from the Wednesday to the Monday, but it'd be great to link up with one or two people beforehand to make the whole thing a little less intimidating! So give me a shout, whether you're a seasoned festival-goer or a clueless first-timer just like me... Find the Solo Camp up in the Darble Field and there will be plenty of people there to befriend and welcome you. If you want a helping hand etc. PM me and myself and/or a few others will make sure you get a good and friendly welcome.

Owen4567
Hi all, This is my first time going solo at Glasto. I’ve been quite a few times before but always with friends. I managed to pick up a coach ticket in the resale so I travel down on Thursday morning from Lincoln. Im undecided where to camp at the moment. Has a solo camp been organised? missnutmeg
I believe there are a couple of large solo campers groups which you could make contact with if you read back through the thread?
Ozanne
Hi guys, I've managed to reserve a spot with Oxfam but I'll be going down on my own. It's a bit daunting but it's my 5th time going to the festival so I know my way around. I'll be up for meeting up with anyone and having a wander around.

It sounds like there will be lots of us going solo with Oxfam and I'm sure there'll be lots of people up for socialising. I believe there's an Oxfam bar crawl on the Monday night, depending on when you're going!
Ozanne
I probably won’t be there till Tuesday sadly. I don’t know how the camping there works but I assume it’s easy to find each other in there. I’m feeling a bit anxious about going on my own but I’m sure it’ll be fine!
DropBeat
I think there's a marquee in the Oxfield which acts like a hub and will be good for meeting people. And we can message on here to find each other. I bet there'll be more of the same on Tuesday night! Yeah it'll be fine I'm sure. I reckon going solo and volunteering will be a great way to see the festival, there'll be plenty of people in the same boat! Particularly excited to see the site before the gates open, and hopefully check out some of the crew bars. I'd be up for meeting /grouping up for sure. Ozanne
Thanks for the reassurance. Who are you volunteering with? I'll definitely go to the marquee in Oxfield.

Atrfr
Been to Glasto 4 times, always with a few friends, best place in the world. Going on my own for the first time this year, managed to pick up a coach ticket in the resale. I'm looking forward to this adventure but I know I will have lonely times too. I'm curious to see how I will react. I'm hoping to make new friends and feel happy from Wednesday to Monday

WannabeGlastoVet
Hey everyone, due to a last minute change of plans, we now have one spare National Express return coach ticket from Manchester (2:30am) to Glastonbury (8:00am) on Wednesday 26th June and the return is 11:00am on Monday, getting back into Manchester at 5:00pm! Would anyone be interested in buying this?

I'm interested in a solo camping group, but am not keen on just passing my number over for a WhatsApp group personally to a group I don't know if I'll get on with and would rather build up some rapport here first. I get the impression that's how it's worked in previous years from your earlier posts, but these whatsapp groups have taken away momentum from here. Maybe that's just me though! Ozanne
I’m going solo with oxfam, and would be happy to start up a convo with people doing the same. I’ll probably be going down mid afternoon on Tuesday.
