Either way it was horrifying, I looked around the hall for a supportive face but there was none. All the teachers had intently knitted brows and beady little eyes glaring at me in a "this is what you deserve" way, all my fellow schoolchums were absolutely loving the savage takedown, even Jesus himself averted his gaze. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the son of God who supposedly died for our sins, didn't see it necessary to intervene when a defenceless child was subject to a comparable public execution. I reckon you shoulda taken Drama GCSE, Lawn. You'd've A+++'d it.

dentalplan
So weird that you’d have to stand up in front of the whole school to do a book report in the first place.

Naw the bollocking was in front of the whole school you see, the book project itself was to have been done at home. Got better things to be doing at home haven't I? How it worked was this, every kid is sat in the hall and one by one each year group stands up at the front with their big projects in hand and the teacher rambles on for a while and the rest of the school does a clap for them and they all sit down again. I was stood up there with the rest of year 5 but with no project in hand but it's ok because I'll just blend into the background. But then afterwards the teacher is like "ok kids go sit down, apart from Amy Lawn, you stay there". A line could be drawn from me back then not doing homework to me today not taking all the junk the previous occupant left in the back room to the tip. Magnets, bitches. Seriously though, get the fuckin' back room cleaned out.
Chef
Is Shame - Songs of Praise any good? Seems to be critically well received but heard very little from listeners Edited December 6, 2018 by Chef
SwedgeAntilles
I'm a fan, I do wonder if it's the curse of the January release means it's fallen out of lots of folks memories by the time the EOTY reviews roll around
Gucci Piggy
I liked it at first but every time I revisited it it was more and more bland.

Think Swedge has nailed it with the January syndrome as well though. As the year's gone on I keep adding new albums to a single playlist just so they don't get lost, but you still end up overlooking them a bit

dentalplan
Did y'all see this? What your favourite album of 2018 says about you. Quite funny, as was 2017's.
Gucci Piggy
Didn't expect my number one to be there so I stopped at my number two (Daytona) - "You consider Kanye’s Wyoming Sessions a success because the beat drop in “If You Know You Know” alone is more powerful than any dumb thing its producer could say." - and thought yeah, agreed. Carried on and got to my actual number one. "Your basement is overflowing with dead bodies. The authorities have been notified, but they, too, are afraid." Oh okay. Harmonic Prospector
These albums are not in any preferential order at all and have just been listed in the order in which I recalled listening to them this year and the ones I have returned to the most during 2018. If I had to choose the top 5 though it would probably be; The Allergies, Dan Owen, The Temperance Movement, Bosley, Myles Kennedy. Tacked on to the end is my Top Songs of 2018 Spotify Playlist that they threw my way yesterday. Quite surprised how high some songs feature compared to others and quite dissapointed that my listening minutes have dropped by 10k this year, however it's a fair representation of where I've been during the course of this year. Albums: • Dan Owen - Stay Awake With Me • Lord Huron - Vide Noir • Joey Dosik- Inside Voice • The Temperance Movement- A Deeper Cut • Nathaniel Rateliff and the Nightsweats- Tearing at the Seams • Myles Kennedy- Year of the Tiger • The Allergies- Steal The Show • Lack Of Afro - Jack of All Trades • Lexsoul Dancemachine - Sunny Holiday in Mexico • Father John Misty - God's Favourite Customer • Xavier Rudd - Storm Boy • Eli Paperboy Reed - Meets Higj amd Mighty Brass Band • Chvrches - Love is Dead • Bosley- Unreal Fire • Ben Rector - Magic • Phosphorescent- C'est la Vie • Israel Nash - Lifted • Natalie Prass - The Future and the Past • Alter Bridge - Live at the Royal Albert Hall • Jonas and Jane - Sedona Rain • St Paul and the Broken Bones - Young Sick Camellia • The Trews - Civillianaries • Monster Truck - True Rockers • White Denim - Performance • Young the Giant - Mirror Master • Slash, Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators - Living The Dream • The Struts - Young and Dangerous • Greta Van Fleet - Anthem of a Peaceful Army • Gavin James - Only Ticket Home • Vulfpeck - Hill Climber (bit of a cheat as only release yesterday but knew it would be a funky banger anyway)

mjsell
At this stage it's a straight fight between Young Fathers and Tash Sultana for my top spot.
