campervan ticket refunds and sales

Sorry this may have been covered but need some clarification. I get it that the resales in April of general tickets will be after the 7th of April when people have not paid their deposit for whatever reason and their ticket goes back in the pot. However I have heard of people buying campervan tickets using other peoples reg numbers hoping to get tickets in the resale. They can get a refund up to the first week in May.

So if these people don't get a ticket in April they will probably give up their campervan ticket? So will this mean another sale in May?

Or maybe its just a rumour that people did that, a few have owned up to it on Glasto Chat on Facebook could be winding people up.

 

Any thoughts?

I reckon its highly likely. A lot of tickets were purchased by people who are hoping to get a GA in the resale. Obviously not everyone is going to be successful so I would be surprised if there wasn't.

Isn’t the May one the cancellation date for everything, ie normal tickets too? The April one isn’t really cancellation, it’s balance due date.

You can also cancel GA up to May 3rd. 

@Travis Tee There were loads of small campervan resales in 2017, especially after the cancellation deadline. I sent at least 15 people text messages to alert them, pretty sure everyone who wants one will get one.

Is it me but why have two dates. Why not have one balance due date and refunds and then resales?

Campervans need to have a paid up (and not declined) individual festival order first

So they resale the admission ticket, then resale the campervans
