Don’t get me wrong I think he’s good. But is this guy really the future? I can’t really set him apart from loads of other stuff out there.
I must be an oddity but I listen to him and Fred again and I don’t hear anything new/ that exciting. It just floats over me. I’m 45 though and listened to dance music for 20 years so maybe that’s the issue.
BOMB
When I stewarded at a sizeable music festival if there was a bomb scare the announcement would go out over the PA systems "Would Mr Sellers please report to ...... (whatever the location). All because of Clouseau's reference to a 'boombe'
The mainstage is pretty band-heavy in fairness, taking up 15/22 slots - not quite "dead" yet!
I know what you mean though, they're definitely less prevalent outside the indie world. A fun fact is that Gerry Cinnamon actually started out in a band called The Cinnamons:
Their guitarist is his main producer now.
