So I might be being stupid here, I've already got a ticket but I've just been on firefox on my phone for the first time since trying to get a ticket (I usually use Chrome). And it looks like you can buy up to 4 tickets here https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/event/glastonbury-2019-deposits/worthy-farm/1300000#

 

Obviously you probably can't but I thought I'd share just in case I've stumbled into something that could help someone.

Again, I might be being an idiot and I've had two beers so could be missing something obvious but hopefully this is some sort of secret resale, though PLEASE don't get your hopes up or be too harsh on me for sharing if posting this turns out to be a huge mistake.

Not going to lie, seen New Order get announced for Rock Wertcher today and nearly buckled. Instead I paid my camper van off. Was so so tempted just to think bollocks to it, its not worth the heart ache, lets go watch my fave band in Belgium. I am still shocked that I have managed to resist the temptation.

The wait for resale seems to be dragging more and more the closer it gets!

6 of our friends got tickets, 5 of us never. One of the 6 actually suggested all putting £20 in each as an incentive to get some of our friends to try for us - if they are successful and get through they get the money. Shit really as you'd think people would want to try to do us a favour anyway but the minute I mentioned potentially getting £200 for getting our tickets people suddenly started showing interest.

Nice of the 6 who already have tickets to not only suggest it but contribute to it, though!

I also considered this! considered sending out an allstaff email to my office.. It's a great idea if you ask me.

We know a group of about 20 who all managed to get tickets and if one of them helps and manages to get through it's almost like they're going to Glasto for free!

There's no absolute rule, but I think most people would expect to see the first poster a few weeks before the resale.

Can’t decide if that will work for or against us. Here’s hoping for some absolute turd (in the eyes of some ticketholders).

 

This has been discussed previously but I can’t find it. Does anyone have the rough figures of how many tend to go back in and how many try? I’m sure I read there may actually be a slightly better chance in the resale than the general sale...

It's anyone's guess how many really but no doubt it's thousands rather than hundreds. Given the popularity nowadays maybe as low as 5000 but then the final line-up may be the biggest factor.

Not sure on the numbers but I've got through in the re-sale 3 times when I thought all hope was lost from the main sale. Positive thoughts. I've personally found it easier myself than the main sale but nothing's set in stone when trying for tickets.

I’ve tried three times in the resale and been successful twice, the last time being 2017. As others have said I thought all was lost and just tried thinking I wouldn’t be lucky.  I don’t think there is any official statement how many are available

I thought in the past the resale always happened before the lineup was announced. Which is probably a good thing as people are more likely to be going for the festival as a whole rather than because they like a headliner.

The balances have to be paid before the resale as in instances where the balance is not paid those tickets go into the resale.

I get what you're trying to say as I  thought the same. It seems the balance is always early April but the lineup tends to be late March or earlier in April than the balance payment.

Agree it would be nice if the balance had to be paid before any lineup posters but doesn't seem likely!
