Im finding this thread, the graphs and jargon etc impossible to follow

Is it going to be sunny or not?

It's gone from looking like being dry and hot and sunny throughout, to rain all day friday (from the afternoon onwards), an absolute deluge on the Saturday (2005 storm style), followed by raining all through til the Monday.

Wednesday and Thursday still clinging on to hot sunny and dry (but humid), though that could turn to s*** too!

You twisted my arm... put another log on the fire and pass the hip flask. It's a long yarn, but a good one. Anyone who was there in 2007 knows there was only one way to survive that weekend - and

You think they’d release the weather now the full lineup is out.

Hi guys.  As suggested by @JoeyT - I've updated the Rainfall records summary table I put together in 2017... The historical data is taken from here:  https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/had

It's going to absolutely shit it down on Saturday and Sunday. Otherwise ok. Could still change.

That's terminology that I can get behind. Thanks

And it wasn’t that many pages ago that people had banked ‘it can’t be like 2016 now’ ?

They mock, criticise and crucify The Nal, but in actual fact he is the thread's equivalent of Weather Jesus

It'll be completely different. 2016 had sticky mud and little rain.

This year will be basically underwater

The weather guy on ITV West just gave a  report live from Glastonbury Tor, it looked amazing just now, they did not pan out to get a view of the site though.

It’s not like 2016 build up wise is it?

Met office reporting 3 days of localised flooding directly before gates open - and site is in a valley with water courses running through it! 2016 caused by floods.

It doesn't say the flooding is localised to the Worthy Farm area. Stop being melodramatic!

4 days ago it was looking possibly bad.

Then it changed to looking hot hot hot.

Now one run shows maybe it might be bad after hot hot hot.

In 4 days time it will be different again.

Enjoy the weekend, sort your packing and wait til Monday's forecast - then we will know reasonably well til Friday and as you open your first can on Weds we ought to know what the rest of the festival will be like.

The best thing though is we have tickets and we is going to party on the farm :D

GEFS* is another model that's still quite positive. We don't know till we know. Prepare for both the good and the bad. It's not even close to being over

*Think it's ensembles of previous runs. Don't know tho. I have no idea about any of it tbh. Fun tho
