You twisted my arm... put another log on the fire and pass the hip flask. It's a long yarn, but a good one. Anyone who was there in 2007 knows there was only one way to survive that weekend - and

You think they’d release the weather now the full lineup is out.

Hi guys.  As suggested by @JoeyT - I've updated the Rainfall records summary table I put together in 2017... The historical data is taken from here:  https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/had

The latest run has it much warmer at the start - we're talking 19 on Weds, 20 on Thurs, and 22 on Fri. NO rain on the charts.

But low pressure comes back in as we head to Saturday and we're back to 18 that day with a bit of rain around on Sat and Sun. Much colder on the Sunday at 15-16.

So we are getting improvements around that ridge of high pressure. We just need it to stay strong for a few days longer.

This is immeasurably better than what we had at this time yesterday!

This weekend is meant to be as bad as it gets for the next 7 days. Better that it's now rather than later and the ground has a chance to recover.

Thunderstorms possible on Wednesday, though.

For those who were there... How long did the rain fall for in 2005? Was it an hour, a few hours?

Think it was about 6 hours. I remember my brother calling me as he'd seen it on the news but luckily we were on higher ground in Dragon Field so were nice and dry in the tent

I just looked at the webcam. I wish I hadn’t.

If you'd have looked at it an hour or two ago, you'd have seen dry land.

This hysteria about a few days of wet weather belongs in some alternative universe.

Yeah I know, it was bad timing. But it did look awful. I’m not a pessimist though - I have every faith that it’s going to be the best Glastonbury ever.
