Looks pretty grim on the webcam right now

Yep but only getting the edge of it.  We’ve had some proper heavy shit in North Somerset today but really isolated. Was around my parents earlier few miles away and hammered down so much so that roads flooded. Back home and no rain had fallen!

The 06Z run was VERY good for us. Rain around on the Monday and Tuesday but then essentially zero rain for the whole festival.

The unseasonably cool prediction is for next weekend and that Monday and Tuesday with 16 on Wednesday and 18 Thursday and Friday. Then high pressure starts to roll in and temps rise every day through to 21 on Saturday and up to 23, 24 on the Sunday.

We're back at the TOP of the rollercoaster! The only way is....

06Z GFS keeps me optimistic, the high pressure arriving from the SW Thu/Fri/Sat is exciting if it pans out.

Latest GFS.

Serious-looking rain for Monday and Tuesday, Monday 18-19 / Tuesday 17-18, but pressure really starts to build up from Thursday morning and stays in place for the whole festival.

Currently showing a completely dry festival.

Only 16 on Wednesday, and could be wet underfoot for arrival if that rain were to hold true. 18 on Thursday and Friday, then 21-22 Sat and 23-24 Sunday.

Has to be a positive Gav update based on it showing no rain for the actual festival, but need that rain on Monday / Tuesday to reduce.

Temperatures of 21+ will surely dry the ground out in no time too. Back in 2011 after the rains and mud of Friday the hot temperatures meant we were sitting on the ground by Sunday. There is still hope!

Yep, mud cannot survive above 20 degrees - all the moisture is sucked out of it.

Weds/Thurs look dicey on that run - need those two days dry for setting up and exploring!

Nice positive update then as we head in to the penultimate week. Each day the forecasts get more crucial, so that's a good start for t-minus 9 days to go.

There do seem to be some consistent signs that the pressure is increasing in the second half of Glastonbury week. Let's hope that continues!
