It's the rain during the run-up that could knadger the ground though.

on a positive note though, thank f**k Somerset isn't getting the kind of rainfall that Lincolnshire is lined up for this week. Because there would be no going back from that!!!

Rain during the run up is fine as long as it stops. You can be wearing wellies on Thursday and flip flops by Sunday as long as the rain stops and that with the festival in full flow

latest ensembles are interesting

the mean Air Pressure is rising towards 1020 as we approach the start of the festival which will mean generally settled conditions as shown on the attached precipitation ensembles as well which show minimal rain

from the 22nd June the mean air pressure is 1020 which currently shows a pretty much dry build up.

Of course this far out the pattern could change and this models updates every 6 hours, but a trend can usually be spotted early on if you look at all 20 model runs within the timeframe

So what did your scientists say the weather was yesterday in Pilton? I’d like to compare that with what actually happened. Then let’s see who good they are.

Weather aside...were you at PWMC on Saturday when my friends band Sgt Thunderhoof won the round?  Good gig?

Forecast for Tue 25 Jun 2019 to Tue 09 Jul 2019
General Situation: Considerable uncertainty in this period, but overall a gradual trend towards generally more
settled conditions is expected, but still with occasional unsettled spells of rain and breezy conditions at times.
Temperatures around normal for the time of year, with no particular signal for possible periods of higher
temperatures, so at this present time, trigger criteria are not expected to be met during this period.

That's the Met Office forecast this morning.   It's going to be pants this week but then gradually improve as we move toward the big week.

I'll take that.
