Local Ticket Sales 2018

Start a thread for unlucky few this morning that are holding out for locals. Predictions on when it will be? Assuming October before they reopen reg?

It was 12pm on a Thursday last time.

My guess is Thurs 25th October based on the last sales.

I've never had to rely on the local sales previously how easy is it to get through? Anyone know?

I've never not got local tickets in the last 5 years, reckon we're safe

They have sold out quickly last couple of years I think? (Since taking it all online)

General registration reopens November 1st so I’d guess both local and campervan/Worthy View sales will happen before then.

Sell out quickly - think it was about 15-20 mins last time. When it used to be via phone could take couple days.

How local do you have to be to qualify for local tickets? I imagine my grandparents live a tad to far away to qualify but I may as well check

Was going to ask the same question, my dad has recently moved to Somerset but i dont know if he would qualify for the tickets, does anyone know how i can find out?

Its down to postcode....if you're not within a rough 10 mile radius then you won't be in the catchment.

Can I also just ask that if you don't have a qualifying address (I'm only about 2 miles outside it myself...) that you don't use any address of relatives etc who may be within the catchment?  Its a concession for local people who are inconvenienced by the festival in many ways...and abuse of the system is only likely to a. deny a real local of a ticket, and b. threaten the concession from existing in the future.

They do shift around a little, but I imagine that's pretty accurate... grandparents probably have friends though

I was lucky to get tickets this year for myself and 6 friends for the first time after trying for 5 years!! 

Interested to know though, can someone living in the catchment area purchase tickets for people outside of the area?

In a word, no.

During local sales all registrations must be from within the local catchment area.

I got mine in the last Glastonbury (2017) on the Monday (7th November) think it will be a similar date ?

Yep...it will be advertised in local newspapers like the Somerset Standard.

But IIRC you can just register with the postcode of the house of the person who does live within the catchment and it's fine right? Just the ticket get's delivered to their house and they have to forward it on.
