Hi. I'm just making sure I've got this right before Ticket Day.

I have 2 disabled kids, 13 & 15 years. Both are registered as are me & my wife who are also the carers. So when I try for tickets next week, I need only apply for the 2 kids? I'm asking because I don't want to cock this up, you know, turn up on the day with 2 tickets where  my kids are allowed in and the parents are not. It's a scary enough time getting it right in the first place!

That's how I read it. You only buy for the disabled person and not the carer.

The disability team have been very good in the past at replying to queries so perhaps drop them an e-mail to be 100%.

Indeed that is correct. The carers tickets aren't sent out in the post you have to collect them on-site in the yellow car park (disabled parking) with proof of ID.

Didn't realise that, was hoping got sent with disabled persons ticket. Only because intend on hiring caravan to be delivered to cv field, so not sure how could get round to gate A. Unless we travel separately and she parks over that side, collects ticket and walks over to me. Hmmm might have to contact them myself as that seems a pain.

I collect my PA ticket and pack on entry to the CV fields. Just ask for it to be sent there instead of Gate A. ?

Hey, thought I'd offer my two pennies' worth. To be safe, it could be worth putting down deposits for all four of you. It could be the case that you get use of some of the facilities (ie campsite, shuttle buses etc) but not others (free carer).

My husband is a full-time wheelchair user and I've gone as his carer for the past five years (soon to be six, fingers crossed!) but I know they're dealt with on a case-by-case basis so your place wouldn't be guaranteed if you're going to be a carer. Does that make sense?

I'm sure you'll be fine, I just wanted to manage expectations! Maybe try for four tickets just in case, and get refunded if/when you get the PA spots confirmed?
