I'm a little bit in love with Rozi Plain, and if she's ever in the market for a middle aged, balding, slightly overweight guy then I'm all hers

If she is in the market for that type, she'll be overwhelmed for choice at EOTR

Saw Rozi at Howlin' Fling earlier in the year. She was very good - Actually and Swing Shut and both belters. But I wouldn't say she was so good as to feel gutted if I don't get a chance to see her a second time - which is lucky because there's so much going on throughout Friday that it's very unlikely she's not going to clash with any of the must-sees.

hadn't listened to Rozi Plain before now - she's good! but damn, another artist to add to my clash-heavy weekend

It's getting impossible, right?! Only acceptable way forward is that they have the talking heads stage extending through the night, or (better) unfurling through the morning – I'll happily have my morning coffee at that dappled clearing in the forest with Rozi Plain, Helena Deland, and Oliver Coates (last two both worth checking out if you don't know them, similar vibe)

I’ve never quite figured out if there’s a way to find out who the secret set *is* each night, is just turning up at the tipi when each set starts the right way of going about it? Or is there some “secret” grapevine (like the loud and quiet twitter, or occasional signs in the media room window, for the piano stage). We’ve never once managed to see anyone, sometimes we drift over, ask a few people who’s on, everyone seems clueless, and then we end up at the disco ship. Gutted I missed the Jens secret show.

Someone told me that they leave little notices around the site, including at the Garden Stage sound desk, but I must be very unobservant because I've never been able to spot one!

I've seen signs on the media room window before, but only ever for the piano stage... I will endeavor to be more observant this year, and, inevitably, feel uncool when I have no clue who it is playing.

I knew it was Black Midi last year because a guy form Squid told me at the Tipi bar a couple of nights before.

Ha! Was at the bar with a beer when it was really quiet and a young guy asked how the festival was going for me. Started chatting bands and he mentioned Black Midi who I’d been looking at on YouTube a few days previous; said they were doing secret set and mentioned he was in a band called Squid who no one really knew of at the time. Took me a while to see them at the Green Peace Stage. Will defo catch them at GM this time.

That's pretty much it, yeah - they're never "officially" announced ahead of time unless bands do so during their main sets, though they were all listed that one year the production schedules got leaked before the festival.
