Yoss
Jarvis is coming directly from Electric Picnic, I doubt he's just going to be able to change days at the drop of a hat.
goldengirl
I think the most likely scenario is that Courtney will be bumped up, then someone local to the UK and is promoting new material currently will take up a lower slot. We really should be getting another headline-worthy act though to get our "moneys worth", since the money they were going to pay Beirut is now freed up... RedRockRick
Broken Social Scene finish their European tour dates the week before. I'd be delighted to see them back.

SweepingTheNation
It says something about how underwhelming Beirut being headliners were that I can find only one music site even reporting the cancellation of the tour, and it doesn't mention EOTR: https://www.stereoboard.com/content/view/224464/9

SweepingTheNation
Fontaines DC have cancelled several of their festival dates, not including EOTR but including Thing festival in Washington the previous week. https://www.facebook.com/fontainesband/photos/a.1505254989725274/2429156797335084/?type=

SighMo
Would like to see LIINES as a secret set. They’re supporting Sleaford Mods on their tour so I suppose there’s a chance https://open.spotify.com/artist/1JfKFoNd6l125tY9uJcd4f?si=ScsnPM7rSDWQAkZOU7afFA
Losing my hair
Has anybody heard anything about a Beirut replacement? Working Men's Club are supporting Bodega in Birmingham and Bedford on 27th & 28th - they would be a great late addition. Bump Courtney up and create a space on the undercard. ljsawyer
Just bump Courtney up and use the freed up funds from the Beirut cancellation to bring in Föllakzoid (playing in Brighton on the Sunday of EOTR so should be a no brainer), Dungen (performing Ta Det Lugnt in full) and Lingua Ignota. Can definitely see why you’d say that, it did take me a while to get into them but now I think they’re easily one of the best young bands around. Their live shows are genuinely astounding but not for everyone. The fact that they’re at EOTR pretty much sold the festival to me.

They definitely are an acquired taste but once your hooked they’re ace. I first saw them Green Man and had no idea what to expect only that I could see all kids gathering for a right mash up. Stood at the front of the Rising Stage and got a right battering. Actually getting lost in their album tonight followed by some Brian Jonestown Massacre and a few beers ? At least one of the dates they'd announced as cancelled is still on there so I wouldn't read that into it unless they/EOTR confirm it specifically. benali
Maybe we'll get another exclusive listening preview of their new album, but this time in the flesh rather than listening to the record. In fact this all sounds so plausible that I've already decided it's definitely happening.
