Andrinald
I'm thinking the headliners will be Idles, Architects and maybe someone like Taking Back Sunday, Sum 41, or The Hives. Still got everything crossed for Weezer. Edited December 4, 2018 by Andrinald

Andrinald
I wouldn't say they're bigger than Enter Shikari, and headlining a festival isnt something they've done before as far as I'm aware. Not saying you're wrong, just think they'd be a good option.
Chavmeisterdeluxe
They don't tend to go too heavy for main stage so won't be Architects. Don Broco would be my guess.
Pop Punk Sucks
I think they'd definitely book Architects and Architects would definitely do it. No way they do it if they're doing that All Points East show with Bring Me though.

Andre91
Taking Back Sunday are doing their own tour in June so that probably rules them out.

Seems like an odd lineup but I could see it happening.

I think much like Enter Shikari, if given the chance to headline a fest, Architects would take it. Let's not forget that whilst they may have done some big arenas, they've still never played 3rd down at a festival or even headlined 2nd stage at Download. The prestige of headlining a fest would definitely appeal to them. That being said, I think, much like Enter Shikari, they'd obviously be far more interested and up for headlining Slam Dunk before looking at 2000 Trees. Andre91
Architects aren't going to be at Trees. They are the main support for the BMTH show at APE.
Chaarlie
but Idles, playing in the middle of the day at APE are fine headlining? Think they're a bit overestimated at the moment honestly. Are Weezer still in contention? them or TBS sound very likely. I still think Architects could play this as well I wouldn't have a problem seeing them twice or 3 times this year honestly but that's on a personal note. Think they might have surpassed Trees and Slam dunk by the time they have another album so if they're not top of the organizers wish list I don't know why. Chavmeisterdeluxe
Weezer definitely still could. The London show made it a bit less likely but as that's sold out (I presume, if not, it will by the time trees announce) but they're still in Europe around the time, and they definitely offered them the slot. Jericode
Idles aren't headlining, no chance. Still think it's Frank Turner and Don Broco, both their UK dates end early February so could see them being announced together mid-Feb

Turner and Broco first then TBS later on? Architects headline slam dunk 2020 and sub/3rd reading? Weezer I'm not sure... if not here must be Glasto/Reading. Andrinald
Don't think Architects at APE would stop them headlining. Slaves played loads of festivals the year they headlined. I think Weezer would be too big but it would be my absolute dream headliner so fingers crossed. Don't think TBS will play now they've announced their tour. Maybe The Hives? Architects, Idles, Weezer, The Hives, Don Broco, Frank Turner, Neck Deep. Any other headliner ideas?

They're at Bilbao BBK across the same three days but their website just says Day TBC. They'd more than likely be the bigger headliner so probably wouldn't be put on the Thursday because they'd want people to be able to watch them, so if they're announced as playing one of the other days they're almost certainly not going to be available. I don't see why they'd do a one-off London show either only to come back two weeks later. 28 minutes ago, Andrinald said: Don't think Architects at APE would stop them headlining. The Hives would have to be the Friday, don't know if that makes them more or less likely but if they're coming to the UK anyway I guess they're feasible. I think Neck Deep are more likely for 2020 on a new album, I'm sure they've said they're working on the album after the Don Broco tour. Idles aren't big enough, people are over-hyping them. Can definitely see them playing, but they're not headliners yet. Architects are definitely a possible, seeing as their doing Euro fests early summer. Frank Turner has history and is an obvious choice, and I think Broco is a logical pick given they're just stepping up to arenas. A headline slot at a lower festival seems the perfect way to finish the album cycle to me.

Whilst that's true about when Slaves headlining and playing other fests, big difference is that I think BMTH will want Architects as an exclusive for that APE show. They're at a massively critical point in their career now with big doubts over whether they can headline a major fest (if they could now, they wouldn't be playing APE), Architects are a big draw at this point and a package with them, BMTH and Sleeps could go some way to helping this sell reasonably well. Architects headlining Trees as well would certainly take some ticket sales away from this, which if BMTH want to have any chance of selling this out, they can ill afford to lose. Be amazed if Weezer or Taking Back Sunday turn up here after those tours. Gaslight didn't this year so can't see it myself. I think people are probably right with Frank Turner and Don Broco. Not sure who the Thursday/3rd headliner could be. Don't see it being Neck Deep. Idles probably ruled out being at that Bring Me thing too. The Hives probably the best shout based on who is around at the time and hasn't been announced for anything else yet. You Me At Six perhaps? Chaarlie
No chance Architects will only play APE, if not here then Reading, think they're ruled out for download though cant remember why. Glasto on an off chance and maybe Trnsmt, they're not gonna miss out on their moment in the spotlight. BMTH success will depend on Amo's reception really, they haven't had a Number 1 where the 1975's last 2 have made it (probably this one as well), thats why they got the headline slot before them. YMAS could do it, surprised at how many of their shows sold out on the last tour, they're not dead yet...
Jericode
Frank Turner / The Hives / Don Broco wouldn't be a bad trio, the Heritage Live show isn't an exclusive for The Hives is it? You Me At Six wouldn't surprise me but they've apparently been announcing at all their shows their playing Reading Festival, don't know how that affects their chances. Jimmy Eat World?
