No idea...but are you hoping that you get some good stuff leaked before T-Day so you can weigh up whether its worth going for a Tier 1 ticket? I remember you said you were gonna delay purchase until you could justify it based on the lineup

Essentially...! I'm sure @mr flow mentioned the headliner rumour being 'big'. It's so much more than the lineup though - I just don't know if I can justify it with Glastonbury and a few other things booked!

Is it just me or have the jumped up about £20-30 this year on each tier??

We know the tickets are expensive but unfortunately this all costs money. We are one of the largest truly independent festival in the UK, and we are beyond proud of that. This year our capacity remains the same, so we have no way of increasing our revenue and as a result we have had to increase the ticket price to help fund this.  Believe us when we say we have kept them as affordable as possible, we have our tier system still in place and there is a installment scheme available to split the cost across the year.

Can I buy an instalment ticket tomorrow then get coach ticket at a later date and get free Weds entry? I only have the money for deposit now but will definitely be getting a coach there.

I'm not sure, but they usually allow you to swap your tickets around as long as they still have tickets available.

Due to failure in the Glastonbury ticket sale, I am planning to get Boomtown tickets tonight. Just a couple of things that are worrying me is that as someone in their mid forties am I going to be massively out of place?  Also what is the camping like? Is there a Boomtown equivalent of pennards which I should avoid if I want some decent rest. I’m still relatively active and have no problem staying up to the early hours but would like to camp somewhere a bit quieter with a bit of space if at all possible.

Avoid Sector 6 camping if you want some sleep. Unless you camp right near the gate, which is quiet... it is a very hilly site so flat land is at a premium. 

This year was my first Boomtown, I do think it is a younger crowd in general than Glastonbury etc. but I saw plenty of people older than me (I'm in my 30's).

Ideal. I was expecting a younger crowd just didn’t want to be clearly out of place.

Has anyone stayed off-site in a  campervan? Will be travelling over from Dublin and really want to go on the Wednesday to get the most out of it but the campervan fields arent open until Thursday Was thinking of booking into a campsite near the festival but dont know am I mad to consider this

I would say there was no reason not to. Myself I plan to stay in a hotel in Winchester and move in as required .

I think I’m just over thinking it really. I’m quite a young 44 really so should be fine. If not I’ll just sit down and join you for some cake.

BT just announced on face that that south camperfield will open on wednesdayWednesday

Showers - no

food - some. Coffee and cake and I think a burger place

security - same as other gates. They know who they want to turn over. Dogs are working there. Some entry though. Not really any queue when we went in. Just the usual.

Are first wave tickets a bun fight? Glastonbury style?

I got my ticket in Jan for 2018's Boomtown. I am planning on getting one tonight.

I’m debating whether to go for Wednesday or Thursday tickets. Is there much happening on Wednesday or is it best to just turn up on Thursday. Got extra expenses if i go on Wednesday so would be good to know wether it’s worth it

If it is the same as this year, the GA wrist band only gets you off site, and then back in a certain number of times (I think it is twice) and you are scanned in and out. So you wouldn't be able to stay off site and travel in every day.
