So gold stops all ads? Even the ones that I'm seeing that aren't meant to be served in any case?

All ads. In the last few years since I went gold, whenever a problem like this has been reported I've been unaffected.

Plus the whole site just loads much, much quickly. I signed up to do my bit, but it's easily been worth it for the speed increases.

As far as I know.  With gold I've never seen any of the popups I've seen reported on the site

I think it’s a safari problem. I’ve had the pop up on a couple of different sites over the last few days.

incidentally it’s not that I completely distrust the internet but there seems to be a huge discrepancy between the number of iPads that I’ve won and the number I actually own!

The ads might be exploiting a vulnerability within Safari on apple products, but I don't think it's something from within safari (if you get what I mean).

These hijacking ads have been an issue for while, and affecting more than apples/Safari at various points. It's been a lot of trouble to (mostly) stop them appearing here over the past few years, and the only viable fix has had a bad effect on the ad-income efestivals earns.

Anyway, this one has been stopped.

Till the next time. :(
