Visit to Worthy Farm

So I visited Worthy Farm last week for my birthday. No sign of Michael himself but did spot Emily. Kept herself to herself but did smile at us. Here are a few photos. Also it seemed as though they were building/digging something in the area in front of the Farm on the hill at the top of the Pyramid field- from memory I think it’s hawkwell or Row Mead there.

We parked just to the right of Mary’s gate, leaving more than enough room for cars etc to get by. However there were others who had taken their cars down to the green peace fields for a little picnic as well so I don’t assume there’s much issue. We emailed beforehand to let them know and they were fine with it as long as we respected the country code and followed the paths. There are a few no access points so our walk around to the Pyramid was the long way around.

It’s great to see it out of season but so weird to see it so quiet. I think everyone who loves the place as much as we do should see it outside of the festival time period. Strange to see the places where you would be pitched or would be drinking with friends all empty as a farmers field. Chuffed we got our Worthy Farm fix for the year...only another 10 months or so to wait for the next.

(PS You can park at the Working Men's Club, then walk up past the Tithe Barn - deffo worth a look - entering the site at Hitchin Hill)

When people say "Mary's Gate", is that meant to mean somewhere specific? Who's Mary?

Not sure who Mary is/was but it's the gate at very top of Muddy Lane where it joins Pylle Road.

I've never got my head around which roads / lanes are where.  My geography on site is just dreadful.

Went there 2 weeks ago, Cows on the Pyramid and the stone circle so could get near those. No sign of anyone, but was good to have a walk around

Shame. Sure you will get plenty of chances though. Still weird to see it so quiet and as a working farm. Loads of tractors about! I think the strangest thing to see was that Pennards field was full of crops! Wouldn't want to imagine what would grow out of that ground
