I’ve already got a load from of fetival gear that I take and I’m not actually making a new costume for this year.

But with 100 days to go I’ve started to visit the charity shops much more regularly than normal to locate the ultimate “find”.

I was  looking at outfits similar to yours on a site called Ali express a chinese site and they were selling for quite a few hundred pounds some quite decent outfits on there too :)

I wish I had an ounce of creativity to make any fancy dress or trawl shops for amazing outfits - love watching this thread on awe ?

I would say the best way to go about it is to start simple ... the ribbon tower hat which im going to post a picture of when its finished at the end of the week could have been created by anyone on these forums with a bit of patience .. it started in the first photo on this thread with a coke bottle and some ribbons and some glue .... and ive been just adding various things over time .... but it is one of the best things ive created I would say but ive also had a bit of time to do it too

I'm in the process of creating a blinged out animal mask. All my gems are too big and I need to buy smaller ones to fill it out but i'm happy with how it's going so far. I'll post a pic when it's closer to done.

I find a site called ali express has everything I need but its in china and has really long delivery times ... but its cheap :) might be worth a look on there :)

Hello! Yes I've been a bit quiet, busy with work and all that! Haven't actually started the outfit yet, have some bits and a plan but not yet made!

I know this isn't the exact right thread but seems the best place to ask, is the general consensus here that DMs would do the trick to save having to invest in a pair of wellies? For reference I have essentially these ones, cheers!

I favour walking boots over wellies and having recently paired my docs with muddy conditions, rate my walking boots as much sturdier and lighter if that helps... ? Though these are my docs:

In really terrible weather when the water is too high I did spend multiple days putting my feet into DMs which were already full of wet mud, but only on one year ever.

Just to add-as im sure you're already aware. If you can afford it buy some walking socks..you can get 3 pairs fpr a tenner from millets, gp outdoors etc. Not the most exciting purchase youll ever make but the best 20quid per reward given youll spend for the festival if you buy 6 pairs and have a new one every day. And you'll have them for next year
