We've taken our kids to glasto 3 times but stopped when the eldest started school. There's no doubts it's fun having the kids with you but there's also no doubts that that minging hangover only gets worse when you've a full of beans (not those beans) 8 year old bouncing round the tent keen to make a move (or take a shit!). We have settled on taking ourselves to glasto, staying out till the sun's up and taking the kids to a variety of other holiday time festivals. Seems to work. 

Thank God for understanding grandparents who say nothing when I return to pick up children twitching and unable to speak and then pass me home cooked meals to take back with me.
