Talks sometimes seem to go on for a number of years.  The fact that talks happened at all still probably mark her out as the front runner.

on the basis that in recent years I've heard headliner stuff from *very* solid sources 18 months before the act has headlined (and mistook it for that year and not the next year), I reckon you're probably right.

Cher's probably got the least consistent setlist of the lot.  I've softened to Believe over the years (a bit), but even adding in the stuff with Sonny and the fucking Shoop Shoop Song there's still gonna be some dead air.  When was the last time you heard even something like I Found Someone?

Turn Back Time, Shoop Shoop, Believe, I've Got You Babe, Dead Ringer for Love (minus the Loaf I fear), Gypsies Tramps & Thieves...

That's all I've got, that's probably still about half a set's worth.
