lightsnowpatrol
Any thoughts on who you think it could be
Ken19
Totally no idea. But it won't be the first time (this year, every year) that a band cancels before the announcement. Hoping for the best. Balthazar will play third down normally.

Ni&co
This is getting embarassing, what is going on with rock werchter it used to be such a great festival... It's as if they forgot to book the biggest rock bands in advance and are filling the spots with what they can still get their hands on... And the announcement strategy is so bad it makes me think there's no announcement strategy

And the announcement strategy is so bad it makes me think there's no announcement strategy What are you talking about? It looks like The Strokes will just skip Belgium and Pukkelpop got Tame Impala but other than that, Werchter has headliners like all the other similar fests in June/July. Also we got exclusive (for now) festival shows from P!nk and Muse. Also, apart from headliner announcements and the Christmas break, we have gotten an announcement every few weeks. If you want to be frustrated about announcement strategy, go read the NOS Alive or Mad Cool thread.
Ken19
Some bands cancelled their show at RW or were planned for RW, but it didn't work out (travel schedule, day off, preferring Glastonbury, bigger spot on other festival...). And play now a different festival in Belgium. Not everything went as planned. Not difficult to find out which bands... Some bands we all expect (and are hoping for) will be added very shortly. Wolfmother was never an option btw.

Not making the idea impossible tho, but understandable why they did pass on Foo

Jefferke
Wolfmother plays OLT Rivierenhof which is another venue in Belgium. Interpol, Flogging Molly, etc at Rock Zottegem.

visdave34
My guess: Editors as the sub for Muse and Charlotte de Witte (who was going to announce epic news this week according to Ken19, so maybe a dance closer spot on main stage for the Thursday?)
