Acts Touring Around Glastonbury 2019

If they are there, be interesting if it's an album gig or a more typical greatest hits festival type. That album's about an hour long anyway..

Have any acts done 'an album gig' before though? Gotta be a greatest hits set Shirley?

manics have done dates around Glasto most years without turning up at the farm.

And they want to see tarmac from their outside stage, and in Cardiff they can. :P

Love with Arthur Lee did Forever Changes in full in 2003 but don't recall of hearing of anyone else doing an album at Glastonbury. They're supporting Bon Jovi the week before too, that crowd will be rapturous for SYMM I'm sure...

And Sunflower Bean, which would be nice.

Never heard of them, actually. Have a very hit and miss history with Manics supports...

Good New York three-piece, if very retro. The second album is almost a pastiche of Rumours-era 'Mac at times, but very enjoyable all  the same. Have heard mixed things about them live, mind.

Depends what you mean by "around Glasto", personally I'd say a week either side but sod it, we'll go for the whole of June.

That gives you nowt from 1997-2008, besides the years they've actually performed.  Decent run that they'd had June gigs since then, including two fallow years and one that they've performed at. Course there was the whole toilet and bypass thing, but it's not like they've got an actual aversion to the place, averaging one every five years isn't bad especially when you factor in fallow years.

I saw Sunflower Bean in a pretty small venue in Glasgow last year and they were great live. Really enjoyed the new album too, would be great to see them on The Park

which is precisely why having June dates this year doesn't particularly make them likely for the farm this year.

Really can’t see the Manics doing that TIMTTMY show on the Saturday in Cardiff and also perform a generic 60 minute GH show the day before or after at Glasto

Primals headlined Other a few years ago doing Screamadelica in full.

Defo don't see Manics doing that album in full at Glasto, though. And because their dates around Glasto are them playing that album in full I don't think they'll play at all.

Nah mate. You can’t like Manics and Bon Jovi. They’re the middle of completely different roads!

Looks less The Seeds of Love, more Can't Pay We'll Take It Away.

White Lies and Scritti Politti supporting at the London gig. Should be fairly good that. Guess TFF are a bit less likely for the festival with that Bonn gig however.

Nah MK never happened, neither did Duff McKagan appearing on a Manics album and Nicky Wire isn't a throwback to 80's hair metal but a normal looking bloke.

Well it'll be five years since their last appearance by then... Think it makes logistical sense for em to do it seeing as it's only round the corner. Who knows though, eh?

Bloody hell, would've loved to have seen that.

Oof, maybe not... Mind you, I've seen em play We Her Majesty's Prisoners at the Royal Festival Hall...

Posted in the Download thread to get Daughters/Refused there on the Tool day but would obviously take either here as well. Daughters on the Truth Stage/Earache Express. It isn't just Earache Records acts on that stage, is it? Doesn't seem to be, looking at last year's lineup.

Surely they won’t be doing TIMT when supporting Bon Jovi? They’ll have a greatest hits set ready to go.

Still can’t see them playing though.

Elbow playing Manchester 2 weeks after Glastonbury is bad news, unless you're a fan of their dreariness.

sub again? Other headliner opposite Stormzy?
