Noticed that first aid kit are doing a few festivals during June and July after a gig in Glasgow at the end of May. A nice gap around glasto time. I know they did the pyramid last time out but would be a great addition to the other or JP as their set list has changed and a new album out last year.

Really enjoyed them in '17 but wouldn't be surprised if they skipped it this year given they played the last one, they've already got a UK festival date (APE, 2nd June) and because they're playing in North America early July - would seem a long time to hang around unless more stuff gets announced after the Norway date. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

Oh hello!

The lineup includes former Pearl Jam and Soundgarden drummer Matt Chamberlain and bassist Chris Cheney and keyboardist Matt Rohde, both of whom plays with Farrell in Jane’s Addiction and guitarist Nick Maybury, as well as Farrell’s wife, Etty, on vocals. The album will also feature appearances by Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, Dhani Harrison, the Cars’ guitarist Elliot Easton and the Foo Fighters’ drummer, Taylor Hawkins. Farrell co-produced the record with Tony Visconti (David Bowie, Morrissey).

Not sure if this has been discussed yet but Snail Mail is playing a US festival on the 22nd of June after her run of European dates, she's then got a gap until her next US date on 17th July but seems unlikely she'd come back to Europe in between :(

Few names.

Chance The Rapper in the vicinity I notice.

Halestorm would be lovely but I don't reckon they're a very Glasto band unfortunately. Hopefully we get Lykke Li, MO and Tove Styrke from that Sunday. Reckon there is a good chance for Dean Lewis too (no idea where he would play though, as huge as he is in Australia I ain't sure he's that well known anywhere else)

Did they throw any GnR in, just for a laugh?

Their gig at Manc International 2 in 1980 is right up there in my favourite ever. Top 3 material.

What was this International and do you know what it is now? Intrigued by mentions of it from the olds (soz) but googling only brings up the airport.

Saw a few gigs there but always went on coach or minibus, I remember it not being in the most erm... upmarket neighbourhoods, often had kids on pushbikes trying to sell you drugs as you arrived.

Found this...
