Whitney did that slot in 2017, really enjoyed it actually.

foolee
Maybe not the correct thread to ask this in however what are the chances of The Raconteurs and Greta Van Fleet (I see they are playing Stockholm on 28/06/19 but not sure that gives them enough time to get over to Glasto? I'd easily, I can see Jack wanting them at Glastonbury so I'd say The Raconteurs for sure.
dentalplan
Rest assured - the Acoustic Stage faithful are gonna be asking directions to the James Peel Stage come June to see the New New Yardbirds. Because they're a really fun young band and sound too much like Led Zeppelin which is a bad thing apparently. Its also very important to jump on the social media backlash bandwagon. I do enjoy the irony. Zeppelin were bashed by people for being too derivative.

It's nothing to do with them sounding like Led Zeppelin, I just don't think their music is very good. When I hear them I don't get any emotive reaction its as simple as that, Artistically they just don't have much substance. If you can't see that then I don't really know what to tell you, its also got nothing about a social bandwagon, I heard a song by theirs before I had heard anyone mention them and I instantly was turned off. Xeph1995
A good fun young rock band I'd like too see booked is the Markus King Band, super talented band full of substance. They are booked up over summer though, hopefully they get some traction over hear because I think they would be a great booking for the farm. The Nal
In what is an astonishing coincidence, I've just seen that Led Zeppelins first album was released 50 years ago today. 12th of January 1969.
CaledonianGonzo
I would be amused if The Gretas wind up being one of WH's occasional token blues-rock acts a la Vintage Trouble or Seasick Steve. Swathes of boomers from the Acoustic tent stumbling downhill for the first time, blinking and grumbling that music isn't as good as it used to be and asking for pints of Old Sheepdip at the Brothers Bar. Gnomicide
I think they sound more like Kingdom Come than Led Zep. I'm here all week if you need any further niche 1980s rock music gags.
