That album's about an hour long anyway.. Have any acts done 'an album gig' before though? Gotta be a greatest hits set Shirley?

eFestivals
manics have done dates around Glasto most years without turning up at the farm. And they want to see tarmac from their outside stage, and in Cardiff they can. Edited November 26, 2018 by eFestivals

Have heard mixed things about them live, mind.

Depends what you mean by "around Glasto", personally I'd say a week either side but sod it, we'll go for the whole of June. That gives you nowt from 1997-2008, besides the years they've actually performed. Decent run that they'd had June gigs since then, including two fallow years and one that they've performed at. Course there was the whole toilet and bypass thing, but it's not like they've got an actual aversion to the place, averaging one every five years isn't bad especially when you factor in fallow years. SwedgeAntilles
I saw Sunflower Bean in a pretty small venue in Glasgow last year and they were great live. Really enjoyed the new album too, would be great to see them on The Park

henry bear
Really can’t see the Manics doing that TIMTTMY show on the Saturday in Cardiff and also perform a generic 60 minute GH show the day before or after at Glasto

Gucci Piggy
Primals headlined Other a few years ago doing Screamadelica in full. Defo don't see Manics doing that album in full at Glasto, though. And because their dates around Glasto are them playing that album in full I don't think they'll play at all. Guess TFF are a bit less likely for the festival with that Bonn gig however.

Nah MK never happened, neither did Duff McKagan appearing on a Manics album and Nicky Wire isn't a throwback to 80's hair metal but a normal looking bloke. Well it'll be five years since their last appearance by then... Think it makes logistical sense for em to do it seeing as it's only round the corner. Who knows though, eh? 4 hours ago, Half Man Half Mattress said: Primal Scream did Screamadelica in 2011. Gucci Piggy
Posted in the Download thread to get Daughters/Refused there on the Tool day but would obviously take either here as well. Daughters on the Truth Stage/Earache Express. It isn't just Earache Records acts on that stage, is it? Doesn't seem to be, looking at last year's lineup.
