Well I just got myself a day ticket for the Sunday.

Booked the ferry, confirmed the hotel so it looks like we're going...

Headliners are not the main draw though. Biffy should be ok. Not big fans of the others. Def not FBS.

Bastille, Courteeners, James, Madness (this'll be a hoot), Miles Kane, Richard Ashcroft,  The Coral, Tom Walker and Hacienda Classical

Idles may be worth a watch.

And for the Mrs - Jess Glynne, Rick (G)Astley (maybe), KT Tunstall

I'm sure there'll be others to fill the space (between us all)

One thing for sure - we won't be getting EB tickets again...

I actually feel like I’ve been properly rick rolled on this, it’s a total bait and switch.

i know they didn’t explicitly say it, but given the history I was anticipating a £200+ Major fest with at least one stadium sized headliner, and the EB ticket offered a significant saving. None of that happened. Tbh I’m surprised I’m not more annoyed by it, but I still hope to sell my ticket on at EB price.

Yep. About a mile or so. Very pleasant it is too. On the fest bus route. Incredible breakfasts. Nice showers. Fluffy pillows.

i reckon it'll be towards the end of the month, to catch people's pay-days. It's what the bigger fests tend to do now.

I am personally excited as always for the festival.  Although I am on of those that goes more for the experience rather that the music!  There is always something I enjoy and yes while I was praying the rumours would come true alas I didn't get Pink or Arctic Monkeys as I wanted but there are still many hours of fun to be had on the Island that weekend for me and a lot of music I no doubt will enjoy :-)

In fairness, on first reading the original comment came across to me as ‘you’re wrong’ rather than ‘I disagree’. 

Appreciate that wasn’t the intention though. The joys of trying to convey tone in text!
