Zoo Music Girl
I wanted to revive that old chestnut, Nick Cave vs Smashing Pumpkins from the run-up to 2013, but sadly it's been archived... are these a possibility for a return do we think? I'd love to see them in October, Corgan's general knobbishness aside, but the tickets are insanely expensive and it's Wembley and it's midweek... Nick Cave vs Pumpkins mark 2 in 2019? Would be quite something. OR Pumpkins subbing to Cave. Now we're talking.
Quark
Pumpkins into Cave. Maybe not the most joyous of evenings

Dunno, same reason they only subbed Other stage in 2013 I guess.
Quark
You'd be amazed at who pops up where. Worthy ('scuse the pun) point though - the 2013 set (which I thoroughly enjoyed, notwithstanding the absence of anything from Adore ) was a lineup of Corgan and some people. With both Iha and Chamberlain back on board you'd think that might well bump them up a notch, if not on Glastonbury billing then almost certainly on where they'd want to be billed. That's a good point, but I could see them headlining Other as an outside chance.

Ticket sales have also apparently been pretty lousy.

Ah....I was talking about the US tour. The fact that they're only playing two dates over here may bump up the demand.

CaledonianGonzo
The singles they were releasing a couple of years back were better than the new one about a Solero. It's a 24 carat butter-basted, oven-ready turkey

It's a 24 carat butter-basted, oven-ready turkey There were some stinkers on the last album though. Like yer man had been listening to a lot of Embrace or something. I'll take this latest one over that. I've maintained that, as someone who wasn't among it in the 90's, the only original member I could be arsed about returning is Jimmy and he's already been in and out of the band for ten years so this 'reunion' is hardly a thing to me. Still woulda supported it if it meant they were gonna play farther afield to collect on the nostalgia but announcing one big date in London for stupid prices is cynical as hell and I'm running out of goodwill. Would see them at Glastonbury again but it's whatever.
Amy Lawn
I'm with dental here, I never saw the original lineup, but saw 2 pretty great shows when after they returned with just Billy and pals. The only thing to entice me to 90s lineup reunion would be a guarantee of purely 90s jams played really well, but then they done gone and put out a stinky new album to play. I liked all of the Billy + random schmucks albums with the exception of the most recent one, so this doesn't really excited me at all. And he posted a long list of mouthwatering 90's tunes on Insta to try and cajole people into coming to see them, so except maybe three or four tunes, you'd have what you want. Here is that list below:

russycarps
imagine being someone who picked pumpkins over cave in 2013. WOW. It would be like picking gorillaz over flaming lips in 2010: a catastrophic error.
